scotty_82
my last one i got Reads “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

dtotty
I'm thinking of getting a tattoo of a swan, but a tribalesque one for memory of my grandma. She is the greatest, most inspirational, loving and influential person in my life. I don't want her memory to fade and am getting a tattoo as a constant reminder to my roots, family and all that has made me the individual i am today. This maybe a year or two away, depends on the time it takes to design, this will have to be right. I thought i would just post my intention and reasons having read some of the discussion on here. I have always been against the fashion tattoo but those with individual meanings, no matter the tatto, shape or size. It is what it means to the person having it done that is important and that only they need know the meaning.

Why stain your skin?Absolutely, tastes change but tattoos don't.I have to confess that the 'My little pony' approach takes it to a new level, it looks cute. How I would love to see that one on the arm of a Pit Bull wielding thug.
