Not sure if this is the same for the MK1, but in my MK2 the lock motor would jam in the winter. This means that the arm pushing the lock open and closed, can't move and leaves the lock in the position it was before it jammed. If your boyfriend has looked at the lock he would of taken the panel off? If so then the best way is to get a new motor as the old one will be knackerd and the new motor works great (there about a tenner). What else could of happened is that the metal bar that the motor arm pulls the lock open and closed with, has came out of place. If this is the case then it just needs to be clipped back in. If you can get a photo of it could possibly see exactly whats happened

A got to do my parallel park twice, because a made a bit of an arse of the first one but didn't worry about it and asked to get another attempt later on. DON'T ever think oh i've failed because then you make stupid mistakes and definetly will fail

Why do some folk put on there fog lights regardless of weather, light and other road users? I hate them, esp the 4X4's who are high enough that they don't need them. It seems to be the done thing at the mo, put fogs on regardless. If anyone does this could they please explain why
