Lupo GTi Colour Concept

I bought my Lupo GTi about 5 months ago so don't know everything about them, as only my 2nd car just turned 19. I have the original invoice from when the car was bought in London and has every optional extra except the sunroof. It also has the colour concept in Jazz Blue, as the car has black/blue heated leather, blue gaitor, blue handbrake and black mats with blue trim. I just replaced the gaitor and handbrake for black ones as they looked a little tatty, before I got rid of the blue ones I looked on here to see if the colour concept is common or not. All I could find on here was the colour concept being available on the Lupo Sport, so was wondering if anyone else knew of a colour concept GTi?

Thanks Josh.

Edit: If it does turn out to be rare, does anyone know where I could get a new blue gaitor and handbrake or if I could get mine reconditioned?

Are you sure it's not that someone's put a colour concept interior into a standard GTI?

No I've got the original invoice of when it was bought brnad new from VW and it's on there, I bought this car with more luck than judgement.

its a gti in jazz blue?! need pictures....!

this is the first GTi colour concept I have heard of on here, seems bloody rare :shades:

They are rare, the only one i;ve seen was a red colour concept with barry boy wheels

Bit odd as the idea of a colour concept was that it was colour co-ordinated throughout.

Does the receipt actually say "blue leather" or just "leather"?

I like to see some pictures of your car, sounds very interesting this!

Must be rare that, not many 'colour concepts' about anyway never mind in GTI form!

Nice one Gav

if possible, pm me your chassis number and I'll have a look at the vehicle specs to see if this is a factory issue or not!

Just checked the invoice and it says 'blue leather'. I didn't realise it was such a rare option, wasn't until I sold my old alloys to someone on here and he commented on my interior that I had a look around about it. Stuck at college atm only got this photo I took on my phone that has the new black handbrake and gaitor, but looks as though I will definitely be looking buy a new blue gaitor at least as all the top of it is shredded by rings off the previous owners girlfriend :(.

Anyways heres the photo (bad quality on my phone)

Will get some more up later of the rest of the interior, I know its standard spec because the guys at VW Listers were impressed when I gave them the chasis number when buying a new centre brake light, gaitor and full exhaust system (ouch!)

Are your doors silver? Should they not be jazz blue like the rest of the car? Looks tidy though

Haha busted!!

Op owns a moon / replex gti and has bought some colour concept seats

But thats the whole point of this thread, that he has colour concept seats in his GTI. We knew it wasn't going to be a Jazz blue GTI.

Might be original, but at £2000?, I think they were mad to have done it.

That was exactly what I thought, but seems he has the original invoice to back up what he's saying.

Again, seems he has the original invoice.

I'm sure VW would do whatever you wanted from the parts bin if you paid enough. I can't quite see the point of a blue interior though. Thought red would have been more in keeping with the red GTI touches.

Yeah 2 grand does seem made seeing as 2 owners later I only paid £2900 for the whole car!!! However according to the service history the first owner lived in Kensington it seems and had it on a private plate, then only drove it for 4,000 miles in 2 years, so probably wasnt too much for them to wack on a extra £2000.

Uhoh my bad just the thread title is a bit confusing on an iphone

To me it reads colour concept gti.... So i thought it would be jazz blue

Some 1st owners go crazy

My golf mk4 tdi had heated recaro leather at a £2200 cost option

Thats just bananas

Yes! Mine has got blue stitching on the steering wheel. I agree red would of been better as I've got the red GTi seatbelts. I got it through a friend of a friend that heard I was interested in getting a Lupo GTi. The girl just needed to get rid of it because she needed a diesel and she got off the first owner cheap as she was a family member. I got it cheap as she didn't have a clue what she had, didn't even tell me it had A/C until I viewed it and saw it. She hadn't looked after it very well such as the alloys were kerbed, was VERY VERY dirty, dent in the bonnet. But a guy I race against works for VW and when I spoke to him said he had a GTi engine with only 18,000 miles on that was taken out for Volkswagen Racing and replaced for 1.8T, so I got that engine, brand new alternator, cambelt kit, pumps, flywheel, clutch, plugs, leads, discs, pads, shocks etc.. for about £800 through him as she hadn't changed the oil for about 40,000 miles so thought I would play it safe with all the money left over at that price. Then just bought Bathursts, bonnet off here, got a new centre brake light and made it water tight, stuck some new Toyo 205's on and swapped the sidelights for LED bulbs. Washed, polished and waxed the hell out of it and now it looks almost as good as some of the great ones on here (that are left standard, its the best look ;) ). Only thing left is to buy a lower front bumper as mine is slightly scrathced on the one corner if you look closely, the sort ones only you notice but it stands out everytime you wash it and annoys the hell out of you!!

Just put the blue gaitor back on and prefer the black not too keen on too much blue.... will just keep them to wack back on when I come to sell it.

Thanks for the advice guys.
