  1. They bought the car from us, at about 2.5k, it still came with all the parts/engines etc and a few spare panels we had sourced. A lot of the stuff it was with was just scrap. The shell is decent and 100% an original cup car, it was set up for (and had run) last a 1.8T engine. We had done a lot of research into its history and passed that on to them. But it did need a lot of work, everything was very crudely done, self tappers and cable ties galore and a poor repaint. But it had all the right cup car bits. I don't know what else they have done to it, but its not a 10k car, unless they got it rolling/running.

  3. The adjustment wire wont be correctly adjusted. You will have to 'carefully' hit the door by the lock, quite hard. Door should open then, but obviously be careful. No joke, had to be done on my Mums golf when we changed the locks over.
  4. Great time! I had got down to 7:13.429 before I gave up on GT5 for a few months. Your right about the wing though, loses 3/4 mph in top speed. But with a wheel I'd expect you go get under 7:10's quite easily. Just tried to do another lap though and car handled like crap. Just won't turn in as well as it did.
  5. You have obviously never been on Edition38... Forums are always going to have keyboard warriors.
  6. Presumably this one.. My Link
  7. Suffix as in the last letters of the part number for the key, so you get the right one to open the boot. This post by 99hjhm will be useful to you, it tells/shows you what you do.. http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=61435&view=findpost&p=743934 Transponder from your Lupo key needs to be put in the casing of the new 3 button flip key, blade cut and key then programmed.
  8. As long as you have 2 working keys at the moment, all you will need is an AH suffix 3 button flip key, battery, new VW emblem, new flip key blade and having the blade cut. So £30-40+ depending on if the key you buy is new or not and how much the blade costs to get cut.

  10. Is this going to be a daily use car aswell? I think you firstly need to find an event in which the Lupo is eligible and that you can enter. Then look at the classes and see what other cars you will be up against. Then check the regulations for the event car specification for the class. No point getting ahead of yourself and finding out your cars not eligible for anything. A guy posted up a video of a University 1L Lupo on Ed38, not fast but, very well driven and finished 1st in class.
  11. About a year ago, you wouldn't have got an average GTI below £5,000. Then prices just dropped suddenly, making them quite cheap nowadays.
  12. Hate to say I told you so. Can you get it swapped under a guarantee?
  13. But thats the whole point of this thread, that he has colour concept seats in his GTI. We knew it wasn't going to be a Jazz blue GTI. Might be original, but at £2000?, I think they were mad to have done it.
  14. Online play is back to normal now. But yeah we all need to use the same spec Lupo to make it fair. Sam, I was going to send you another GTI for you to modify! You haven't comfirmed my friends request though.
