Silver!
...because English hooligans have hijacked it. Youtube Video ->Original VideoI think journalists badged and left the car for reaction, but the hooligans were real.
JamesU
LMFAO Are you real Silver?English hooligans hi-jacked the flag?So those "English Hooligans" you see in that video, are turning on their own country and attacking a car that promotes their country? You sure that wasnt Scottish, Welse or Irish people jelous England are better at football and therefore kicking a car in.Jesus... SARAHGTI
Just like the TV channel, this is a thread you can stay away from if you don't like the content. Sarah was looking for like minded souls, not an argument "for" the world cup or football in general. Please shut the door on your way out. Thanks Silver! I see a World Cup thread is now littering the Drivers Lounge....don't worry I won't be going in it and I also won't be watching the games. I could see many of you were concerned with my ability to change the channel, just to assure you I have learnt how to change the channel in preparation for this awful time of year! Union Flag is nor far behind it, but they seem to have left that alone for now.

SARAHGTI
Why are we miserable just because we don't like Football or it being rammed down our throats everywhere we turn?!?!Imagine if all you saw or heard of for a month was What Not To Wear or some equally rubbish program?!?! bobbo
Its not being rammed down your throats, its just incredibly popular. I hate football but when it comes to the world cup i'm always on board, its just an opportunity to have a good laugh, get yourself involved in a few sweepstakes and generally just have a good craic. northwick
I don't see anybody supporting England during the olympics to such an extent!!!!Given the moderators are being argumentative pedants, I'll follow their example and join in. There is no English representation in the Olympics. We compete as Great Britain. Edited June 11, 2010 by northwick

jon_273
The only thing the world cup is good for is clearing the roads for me to go out for a big'ol thrash in the car!I did just that tonight in the GTI!I am not interested football at all. But it does means the shops are nice and quiet every time there is a match on
