Lupo Gti Owners need to all come together for Milltek

Emailed Milltek the other day.

'Will Milltek be producing a system for the Lupo Gti anytime soon?

Any news and info would be much appreciated guys.

I want to wait for a Milltek system rather than go elsewhere.

the near future for developing a system for the Lupo GTI, but this may well change,

The exhaust system is exactly the same on the sport and GTI other than the Sport has a pre-cat on the manifold

and the tail pipes are differant on them other than that anything designed for a GTI could fit on a sport

I would be interested in a manifold for my sport if they were to develop one

Dig up the thread on the janspeed one, Theres a list of people wanting manifolds and cat back systems from them.

Janspeed are useless, clairy was trying to sort it out, looks to no avail. so if miltek produce one im sure you will get the customers from the janspeed order.

Infact heres the list:

1) Clairey - Manifold

2) VWorks41 - Manifold

3) Philly Fast Fingers - Cat Back and Manifold

4) Foxy - Full System

5) AndyP - Manifold

6) DTotty - Full system (Price dependant)

7) Twisty - manifold, cat, rejig of existing cat-back so it fits better

8) Mario - Mani, Sport cat and back etc...(Full system - Price depending)

Why a just a cat-back? You could get more people interested if they did a full system including manifold

people that already have a cat-back would be inerested in the manifold by its self and a sports cat as that

would give gains.

There is not much gain from just adding an exhaust because the Sport and GTI had quite a good setup from factory

but the manifold is a real mess especially with the pre-cat in it

They would need to develope the Manifold with a Lambda probe screw that could be blocked if not needed

Someone said the manifold on the GTI is different to the sport, so if ot only fit the GTI it wouldnt be worth doing, as they wouldnt sell enough

Its not different in fitment, the sport just has a pre-cat built into the manifold where as its only pipe on the

GTI, the GTI manifold can be fitted to the sport and the sport manifold with the pre-cat could be fitted to the GTI.

just fitting a GTI manifold to a sport would give an improvement so a developed manifold would be even better

Milltek make some seriously nice kit. Had a full system on my mk2 and loved it!

I would defiantly be interested in manifold, as janspeed where a waste of space in the end.

Janspeed tips are similar to standard, slightly bigger which looks much better.

I have a Janspeed on mine and it sounds great. My one has the more OEM sized tips though, not the huge ones on later versions I've seen!

yes like that above, thats exactly what i would be after. i prefer oval really but want to stay original.

I had a custom stainless made for my TDI and it wasnt too horribly expensive so its probably the route i will go with the GTI
