cuprajake
im so indecisive (sp) at the momenti know i want it lowerednow i work in a body shop and know i can get the red to a glass like finish through polishing methods and paint sealents, on the other hand they look nice in silverwhat do you thinklike these border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />jake
chris260
I like both to be honest. I didn't really like the silver until i saw Payna's car and it totally changed my opinion. All the gti colours are good IMO, i wouldn't be too fussed if the spec was right. It's your choice at the end of the day.
Poobah
I've got Silver but if was buying another l'd go red.
Max69vk
Red! Silver is the new white, just look at all the new police cars! It used to be a very special colour but now its just the standard paint. beach
white is my favourite colour, shame you cant get lupo in white. between silver and red i would have silver. i think red is the worst colour in the world, only good for showing you when your bleeding. Adam
I would get the best spec one you can find, as either of those colours look great. If the red is kept clean and polished it looks fantastic. The silver is a really nice colour, when you see it in the flesh and the sun is on it, it almost looks white, its really nice and bright. Adam K
i had a silver one, but if i could choose again i'd have red. much rarer and look awesome when clean.
vworks41
Remember there are two types of silver, early ones where moon silver which are slightly greyer but can change very white in direct sun light and reflex silver which can look light blue on a clear day. payna
red! - silver is way too common!...but seriously though: red is a really nice colour. i wanted silver so that was an easy find but red might be a bit harder to come by

Poobah
Come on all you red gti owners be a little original and say blue or anthracite!! Seriously though it also depends what look you go for if your modifying it as to what colour will look best. Some colours suit the race rep look, some colours suit euro................blah blah blah

LINCOLNSHIRESLUPOGTI
The silver and red cars in the first post of this topic look amazing lowered on their standard wheels. I sometimes wonder why I wasted money on aftermarket wheels.Has anyone got a photo of a black Gti running very low on the standard wheels please?
