  1. It's not that hard to put 6-9's in your original shelf just flip em over draw round em (with somthing that will clean off) and mesure how far in you cone sits from the edge round the speeker usually approx 2 ish cm make a small hole in the center and trim the hole untill its a tigh fit with the speaker resting flush in place on your shelf! With mdf its harder to do but a better sound the methode is the same as before but you will need to use a jigsaw and a drill to get your hole's where as with your origenal shelf you could get away with a sharp knife (cutting away from you! so you dont stab yerself!) If you go down the mdf route (better route if you ask me) you will need to carpet your shelf to get the best sound out of it. You need to stick the fabric to the wood most audio accessory shops will sell the glue (basically heavy duty glue) at this stage i'd like to mention dont cut too much off at once! Or you may end up back at the start to get it right! As for what speakers i gereraly give sony stuff a miss due to durability issues. I'd recomend Pioneer, Kenwood or alpine. If its new speakes your buying you might get a template to follow. (a diagram to lay on the desired speaker location) you could also built pods for your 6'9s to sit on to raise the up a bit and keep some desired boot space! What about 7-10s? They would sound better! Ebo. p.s I cant vouch for the halfords shop in your area but in my area they try their hardest to rip you off when ever possible!
  2. These are the wheels i'll be after! (When i get a lupo! Allthough they'ed look mean on my golf!)

    Wide body kits

Anyone know of any companys who produce them for the lupo? I have searched google with not much luck i am fan of euro styling (being mainly what i've found) but i'd would like a wide as kit! Cheers
  4. Would black be outta the question? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> On a whim though i'd have silver!
  5. Lol have been quoted £1856 tpf&f for a gti but my 206 is over £2k (fully comp) But then again im young! Been looking at the site most of today and seen a load of cool things! Liked the lighing the lupo post read it all the way through was a cool thought using a zx12r engine. And the amount of weight strippable from the car was impressive! Loved the raceing steelies on the silver lupo! Any one know of any wide body kits? Cheers
  6. Ment most other cars! I was looking at a se in stirling in the vw dalership earlier they were closed so i didnt get the opertunity to sit inside it but looked fine space wise in the front (im quite lanky) back seat seemed allright! The parcel shelf looked too small for 6-9's and it was shorter car than i had imagined but i still want one. Cheers for the input
  7. Hi im new to the world of lupos but i quite fancy one to replace my current french shitbox (a 206) im at the investigateing point just now! Seen a few nice looking cars on autotrader and thought i'd ask here to see what you guys & gals think of them. Heard alot of promising things about them since i've been looking but who better to ask than people who own them! I'll be looking to spend up to £6,000 on one & my main questions are, Do they all gti's have 6 speed boxes? I hear the ride is softer than most whats it like? Boot space is said to be limited is it liveable? What colors are avalible in seen mainly black, silver and red! All info is appreciated and if i've missed anything which is should know feel free to bring it to my attencion! cheers style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
