  1. That interior's been changed... nice. It'd be a shame to break it, as it's in pretty good nick. Leather steering wheel. I'll have that too if breaking. S- spec I think, but no rear pop outs.
  2. Respect. I still need to do the top hinge on one of my SDIs. That's @mscherryviolet 's machine, isn't it?
  3. Close up pics please! Block out reg plate if you like. Like to see how the interior and wheels go with yellow. Different combo....
  4. Gotta have one of them resting on the parcel shelf... Uber cool.
  5. Please post a few more pics... inside and engine bay
  6. Yeah, the gearbox is £500. Wings need replacing. Headlights relaquering. Fuel door. From what I can see so far. CAMBRIDGE REAR LIGHTS! Please break the car. I'll have the rear lights and a few other bits.
  7. I'll start an SDI list.
  8. If you could get it any cheaper, say £200 incl vat, then count me in. They are a luxury item though. Regular screens are £120 fitted. One of my SDIs has a crack in the screen so will need replacing soon. And it was brand new a year ago (not on insurance). Trouble is, if we swapped the screen on insurance, the broker will insist you use their standard supplier. If there was a way to 'spin' it so upon replacement, they'd need to supply the heated one, then that'd work out sweet. Dunno how though, as it'd have to be notified as a non standard item before claiming, and would need to be on the policy already. Modifications: heated windscreen.
  9. Welcome! nice five spokes you have there
  10. Hold on @Skezza... if your car is a minter, you'd probably want to keep it perfect. It's like the driver's seat belt retractor, gear stick gaitor or the fuel cap rubber string thing. Not serious if you do an after market alteration to achieve the same result, but so so annoying if everything else on the car is like new. On one of my mk2s, I had to source a small interior part from Australia, only because the plastic had discoloured slightly! Yup. Completely obsessed! 😳
  11. Flap?! Er, got a pic? Sounds different to what I already have. Maybe the GTi cup holder is different....?
  12. Yeah this thing... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-GENUINE-VOLKSWAGEN-T4-TRANSPORTER-CRUISE-CONTROL-RETROFIT-KIT-TDI-7D0998527-/201955850138 steering wheel off, remove clock spring. Add T4 cruise stalk. Refit everything. Sorted. I don't even think you need to reprogram the ECU. It's already built in, ready to go. Just waiting for the turn cruise on. 'Set'......
  13. Same on the mk4... Ah, that'd be just way too easy. I mean seriously; in the huge mk4 engine bay they include a drain tap. In the stupidly tight Lupo engine bay, you need to remove everything. No logic.
  14. Apparently it's the ECU contacts, not the Ecu itself... water inside plug. Corrosion as i understand it. So easiest is to swap the ecu i guess. The pins in the connector are gold plated (wont corrode) on the loom side, so "should" be ok. Pins on the ecu are just tin plated i think (and will corrode). It is a very unusual problem TBH. I have never seen a stock unmolested ecu fail inside the electronics. Never seen a connector fail either. Meant to be ultra reliable, as there's no backup to an Ecu. (BMW electric power steering systems- take note- which fail when blasting down the motorway, then you crash and die! =Recall)
  15. Ok, let us know if it works...
  16. Yeah thanks guys. I just don't want to go through the pain of removing the fragile sump shield, so accessing anything from below is out. Can't get to rad bottom outlet. Or remove thermostat. Oil cooler connection might work. I'll investigate. I have 5L of fresh G13 concentrate ready to go. It's only because the existing coolant is beginning to go a bit cloudy, which I don't like.... Other SDI coolant is still clear after 3 years... Thought there might be some clever siphon or suction method to empty it that I hadn't thought of. Like feed a 6mm pipe down into the pump somehow and vac it out.
  17. I'd like the following if you have them: Engine bay foam blocks between wings and bonnet (they just pull off) front cup holder (remove assembly from below first, then unclips) steering wheel (if any good) - without airbag passenger side manual window winder (dark grey version) washer jet from rear wash/wiper (pulls straight out with pliers) spare wheel jack rubber retaining strap (looks like a piece of inner tube with two hooks on)
  18. Hey hey! Que bien! Bienvenido a club lupo. yeah but @Rich isn't there a built in routine in some of the lupo ecus? You can use the switch gear from a T4 i think? Never done the mod.
  19. Hello from down south... how long have you had your gti? How much did you pay as a matter of curiosity? I'm sure prices are going up....
  20. Not sure which tube you mean, but if it's what I think, it's the vacuum supply that pulls the EGR open. Solenoid controls the vacuum, which in turn varies the pressure (suction), which then pulls the valve open, against the return spring. Think exhaust valve... Just had a mad thought- this might be the source of your extra air leak- the air might be getting sucked in through that open hose???
  21. I run 31 and 28psi in my steel shod 175/65/13s
  22. Kite string is good to remove side bumpers, Lupo logos etc. Slide it up and down with a cutting action to cut the adhesive behind.
  23. Ah, most excellent. We have a club Lupo secret agent still
  24. Just thought @lupogtiboy, you used to work in a dub dealer... do you still have access to 'the system'? I'll dig out some chassis numbers for you! 👍🏻
