Piers
Today has been very productive. Only had a few hours on the car but it was a good few hours. Basically took the seats out, carpet, rear door cards, few metal brackets and plastics. Took out the rear lights, numberplates off, front bumper off and front grill off. Doesn't sound much but that's most of the car! Nothing to them! Really pleased to find no holes or rot under the carpets of areas that were hidden. Everything out except the dashRear stripped downFound one, yes just one bit of welding that's been done. Clutch pedal has been welded at some point. Floor is very dirty so ignore that but no holes Passengers side is just as good but some scary looking wiring. I won't even show you how the rear lights were wired! Lets just say its having it all done from scratch! Started on the front end. Bumper off Tried the new carpet, black makes such a difference. Needs a clean and the car cleaning before it stays in. And finally tucked away before it drops dark. Engine out next I think.

scotty_82
Do you need another clutch pedal , i probably have one lying around i can ship down ?
Piers
Cheers rich. It looks ok to be honest mate. I think it's probably snapped at some point and the lads welded it back. I will inspect it more next time and let you know tho.
scotty_82
Offers there, i just expect a decent dutch rudder at a show in return.
Piers
That sounds like too much of a good deal on my behalf, clutch pedal and I get to rudder you!. What's the catch?
Rich
You should fit a Micky Marrows pedal box. It's a cheap oem esque way around having to use an expensive Wilwood item and enables FBW and a hydro clutch.
Piers
Well mine already has the hydro clutch. I quite like the pedal box scotty has. Looks expensive tho.
Rich
You have a hydro? That shouldn't be, sure it's a KR and not a 9A ?
Piers
Yeah it's a kr mate. Has the g60 box and hydraulic clutch conversion as far as I'm aware. At least I think it's a kr. Way of telling the difference?
Rich
the 9A has 2.0 stamped on the back of it.I've just paid more attention to the first post, it has got an 02A box, this makes your job loads easier.
Piers
Yeah that's why I got this one. Gearbox and clutch is a big job done. Just bolt my 20v to it and one engine mount. Simple? Lol
scotty_82
Are you going g60 flywheel and vr6 clutch? Or is that already in!You will need the KR 16v tensioner, the threaded stud and the nut/washer too.
Koop
Well you finally got your arse in gear, good lad. Shell looks reet tidy.
