Richard... naughty naughty...

tomorrow morning will be an early start. Off up to a friend of mines to collect some parts he picked up for me. I will then be pulling more parts out of the car, mainly consisting of the interior! iv already taken out the rear seat and the passenger seat. The carpet, drivers seat and door cards will be out tomorrow. Ready for inspection for holes. im hoping there arent any... i might also take the front end of the car to bits. I will see how i get on for time.

I also need to service the lupo... time oh time...

Today has been very productive. Only had a few hours on the car but it was a good few hours.

Basically took the seats out, carpet, rear door cards, few metal brackets and plastics. Took out the rear lights, numberplates off, front bumper off and front grill off.

Doesn't sound much but that's most of the car! Nothing to them!

Really pleased to find no holes or rot under the carpets of areas that were hidden.

Everything out except the dash

Rear stripped down

Found one, yes just one bit of welding that's been done.

Clutch pedal has been welded at some point. Floor is very dirty so ignore that but no holes :)

Passengers side is just as good but some scary looking wiring. I won't even show you how the rear lights were wired! Lets just say its having it all done from scratch!

Started on the front end.

Tried the new carpet, black makes such a difference. Needs a clean and the car cleaning before it stays in.

And finally tucked away before it drops dark.

Engine out next I think.

Cheers rich.

It looks ok to be honest mate. I think it's probably snapped at some point and the lads welded it back. I will inspect it more next time and let you know tho.

Yeah it's a kr mate. Has the g60 box and hydraulic clutch conversion as far as I'm aware.

At least I think it's a kr. Way of telling the difference?

Yeah that's why I got this one. Gearbox and clutch is a big job done. Just bolt my 20v to it and one engine mount. Simple? Lol

Are you going g60 flywheel and vr6 clutch? Or is that already in!

You will need the KR 16v tensioner, the threaded stud and the nut/washer too.
