treblet
Firstly, I've deleted your duplicate thread.the offset is to high-so they need spacing outthere not wide enough one small stone chip and in weeks there starting to rust£300+ for a set of STEEL wheels come on your having a laughNow for the wheels...The offset was fine on a Mk2 GolfThey were wide enough on a Mk2 GolfThey rust because they are steel, the clue is in the name! The price is reasonable, you try and find a set of new G60's for less than £130 and then put some half decent rubber on them, you'll come up not too short of £300 too

scotty_82
Same could be said for loads of sets of wheels, as far as OEM steels go i actually like them.
Silver!
Not totally poop, but I do intend to agree they overpriced and not that special; and 'scene' for those who can't afford decent alloys.
DanGB
I think they suit the lupo myself.. they are certainly cheap yes. I dont see the facination with BBS myself.. Edited October 2, 2010 by DanGB

Little Green Giant
negative camber is over rated! 32et+ wins!!! most steels with decent tyres will make £200, at the end of the day, i would never pay £300 for some steels, but if i could, i would! jamiea7x
id rather spend that sort of cash on alloys but you couldnt buy them new for less so for th eprice the guys asking for them (i presume its the thread in the for sale section) then itd cost you at least that if not more to do yourself.. croakey
i paid 85quid for 4 brand new g60's and 220quid for 4 brand new goodyear eagle f1's.... nice cheap reliable winter wheels
AwesomeAl
usual scene bbs ****.BBS are far from ****! The reason BBS wheels have such a good reputation is because of their ability to create pretty much the best made alloy wheels in the world! Part of the reason for the BBS RS being such an expensive wheel is not just down to it's looks but is also down to the fact that it is a completely modular wheel in which parts can be replaced / upgraded. Of course people see the second hand values of £1000-£1500 on a set of Refurbished BBS RS's but when you look into the amount of work and the expense in parts alone to get them to such standard, it's no wonder they go for good money! Silver!
...but the entire point of BBS 'modulars' is that they can be driven, driven hard and repaired, not polished and bought out on Sundays in summer only when it's dry and sunny.[duck] [/duck]

But they do look fantastic as well, meaning they are:* Light weight* Super Strong* Relatively easily Repairable * Easily Customisable* Spare parts are easy to get* Look Fantastic* Can be used for hard driving on the B-Roads! marcusgrant
I dont know how people can slag of bbs wheels... i think its more the fact that lots of people run them, rather than the actual wheel. There is no arguing that a refurbished set of rs's are stunning
scotty_82
If the op doesn't like them then don't buy them , and let up continue to by them

Silver!
Yep everyone has different tastes, i personally cant help always wanting to buy motorsport wheels....but that's my point, BBS are motorsport wheels.I think this thread is going round in circles.
