Well been recently looking into an audi tt 225, for 8k you could get an absolute minter then spend the rest on neccessity mods, i.e coilovers, bushes, alloys and of course metal pressed plates.

I actually adore slammed tts that have made their way into the hands of sensible owners and not a nasty burberry capped chav :)

That would be mine if I needed only 2 seats.

S2000 with the spoon hardtop.

unless i had a family, i wouldn't care about the seat loss. im considering stripping out my rear bench in my lupo now. because i cant really have anyone in the back anyway due to lows.

Being single and child free FTW for you matey. I wish I had my S2000 back.

For 8k really it's impossible to find a definite car that you could class as a daily drive. As previously stated, an Accord would be my choice as its massivly reliable, great mileage, low service cost, low tax and insurance, but given other comments of Supras and GTR for that price it seems a lot would put up with real dogs of cars with unrealiability, massive service schedules rather than a car that will start every day.

If the question was what sporty everyday car, that's a different story IMO; the choice of so many like a Honda Civic EP3, integra DC5 can be got in budget, a smart MX-5 (yes, don't knock them until youve driven one), or a diesel Toyota Corolla (which with the torque would leave so many standing). Getting into bigger cars, 535bmw springs to mind as my old one was great for sideways action off the roundabout.

One of my mates who shoots for some car mags actually said that the new skyline was overshadowed by the dihatsu Copen in terms of fun and drivability, he said he had never had such fun behind a wheel since he drove his first car back in the day. Controversial I know.

those model T's are sexy I would love a hotrod, this guy obliterated us on the way back from portsmouth, not sure what this actually is but the V8 sound was absolute sex on wheels.

According to the ****pots on Pistonheads, you could buy a used 911 or Gallardo for any figure you care to mention other than the car being discussed. So I'd buy one of those.

With that cash I'd make my current EG6 mint with a nice little B20 in there and then go buy an Accord Type-S and put the K20 head on the K24 block to use as a daily.

Think you're on the wrong forum with that 'talk'..

Your right there! I had had a MX5 1.8s mk2.5 the best car i've ever driven and beleive me i've had my fair share of sports cars and hot hatch. It was also the most reliable car i've ever had i put over 60.000 miles on it in three years and all i did was service it.

I loved getting the top down on a sunny day and taking it for a blast on the b roads  miles of smiles

He is looking at V6 Clios and you suggest a diesel Corolla? Really?

and all the best ones are over 8k (eg most rs models...)

You know this, you do see some floating around for half he price but there normally shabby. Im amazed at how well the good ones still hold their value.

RS Cossie or Escort or nothing when it comes to Fords.

Unless you can afford a RS200..

Yeah for real, i dunno tho, not too keen on the RS200, quick car an stuff but the shape puts me off, an the back half is basically a sierra lol
