Don't worry, it's only the chemical Tritium for allowing the instrument to glow in the dark. But yes it is harmful. Sa80 rifles with a susat scope use Tritium for aiming at night if his gauge doesn't glow in the dark with no electrical source then all is good. Nice shout though!
