Koop
185/45/15 on 15x7.5 from tyrestretch.comThere'd be loads more stretch on a 165/40 cos you're losing both width & height. Here's a 165/50Bit too much stretch imo. 1st one looks pretty good. Depends how low you wanna go I guess...your secret mod might be air or even hydraulics of course lol Edited February 24, 2012 by Koop
Piers
after talking to a mate of mine yesterday, he suggested 175 50 (or 55) 15's...What secret mod? i dont know what your talking about haha... i will not be confirming anything as to whats being done... i wish i could go on air or hydro's tho! GregGLupo
Hey guys! I'm running 15" 6.5j rims but when it comes to getting new tyres, wanting a bit of stretch just to stop scraping on the arches and maybe more lows any recommendations for a low profile/stretched tire? Koop
165/50/15 or 185/45/15 if you're worried about dibble
GregGLupo
Might hit up 165/50, just need to wait for the tyre tread to run out now haha

Robharwoo
Hey guys ill probably gets a bit of abuse but i was wondering if anyone can help me on what tyres to get? i have some Kn diamonds 14X7, my loop is quite low i was thinking 14, 155, 55, 7 or 195, 45. I saw a post on here a while back saying the 155 55 would rub but the guy reckoned some other tyre but were even bigger so to me that sounded a bit silly or is it me? mgtf owner lupo fixer
What's the legal eagle stance on tyre stretching? Anyone know.
JoeA
The law is, if you're running the tyre outside of manufacturers recommendations then its illegal. For example, i run 165/50 tyres on a 6j wheel. they are stretched but not excessively at all. Bridgestone recommend the tyre for wheels up to 6j wide so I'm good
Koop
That's good to know Joe. I mean my fronts are half an inch out so they're not strictly legal, thinking more about the pepperpots which are 6J lol

Bmxblade
Right recently lowered the arosa , I have teardrops on it with some rather ballooned tyres , currently 185/65r14 I think .. They're 6j not really looking for stretch , but something lower profile so the the car dosnt jiggle about on the tyres when I close the door etc , anyone ran these before?
