There'd be loads more stretch on a 165/40 cos you're losing both width & height. Here's a 165/50

Bit too much stretch imo. 1st one looks pretty good. Depends how low you wanna go I guess...your secret mod might be air or even hydraulics of course lol ;)

Very minor stretch...beaded as a normal tyre with no problems, feel good to drive on.

Hey guys! I'm running 15" 6.5j rims but when it comes to getting new tyres, wanting a bit of stretch just to stop scraping on the arches and maybe more lows :P any recommendations for a low profile/stretched tire?

Hey guys ill probably gets a bit of abuse but i was wondering if anyone can help me on what tyres to get? i have some Kn diamonds 14X7, my loop is quite low i was thinking 14, 155, 55, 7 or 195, 45. I saw a post on here a while back saying the 155 55 would rub but the guy reckoned some other tyre but were even bigger so to me that sounded a bit silly or is it me?

The law is, if you're running the tyre outside of manufacturers recommendations then its illegal. For example, i run 165/50 tyres on a 6j wheel. they are stretched but not excessively at all. Bridgestone recommend the tyre for wheels up to 6j wide so I'm good :)

That's good to know Joe. I mean my fronts are half an inch out so they're not strictly legal, thinking more about the pepperpots which are 6J lol

Right recently lowered the arosa , I have teardrops on it with some rather ballooned tyres , currently 185/65r14 I think .. They're 6j not really looking for stretch , but something lower profile so the the car dosnt jiggle about on the tyres when I close the door etc , anyone ran these before?
