PhilM
How much stretch are tires legally allowed?.. I mean MOT wise
Philplop
It's not checked on an mot. Legally, you shouldn't go over the manufacturers specified width, which varies for each tyre, so check their websites or e-mail them. Generally 165 up to a 6j, 195 up to 8j, 225 up to 9j. PhilM
Ah ok cool, so its not a major legal issue then. Was just because I have a set of bathursts on the way and trying to work out what size of tires to put on them. I'll probably go with 165/45/15 or 165/50/15. Thanks for the help
