foxy
Phil's are ET 52 not ET 23, no point guessing what size adapters he's using. Lets wait till he gets back on here to tell us.
Philplop
Haha, quite the debate...Knew I should have said earlier. They're 20mm adapters.165's are on their way, so we'll see how they sit when they arrive.Don't you dare change you Winters for Teledials andy! Unless you fancy a swap... And yes, they're 15's.The front wheels are 6's and only have a small dish.
andyp
That made my laugh out loud!!!! my back wheel from having the dials on...it seems they do sit out a bit on the rear.. (195 45 15)
MattyA
Nice Phil.I like the Silver, don't always have to be balls out in your face to stand out!
Philplop
Balls in my face? Hmmm, well they're the same size tyres as yours andy and you can just see tread looking straight down from the top of the arch. It looks as though if you lowered yours a lot the tyre would sit just inside the arch, whilst the full 'flat bit' of the inside of the arch is sitting on the tyre tread on mine... chrischap2003
Mmmmm Teledials! I want some for my olop!
Philplop
rofl, thats the same ride height as now!Didn't mean that your car was high or anything, just meaning that it looks as if that if you put some weight in the back of the car to drop it down, the tyres would just sit inside the arch, whereas mine would be touching. The tread pokes out.
Philplop
Right. Got the 165/50 Potenzas fitted to the 7J rear wheels. Lots of scrubbing, so put the adjusters back in. Sat like this...Rear poke:Also had a visitor today:Car looks high in this one as the other side was jacked up.Still had loads of scrubbing on the Teledials, front and back, so the car is currently looking like this:Rear adjusters back out (knew they wouldn't be in for long!). Ready for the Dubs Dawn Raid weekend. Arch rolling is next on the adgenda I reckon. Edited June 5, 2008 by Philplop
cardaft
Is that the pea!Like the new wheels, but your not running them then? You could (dirty word) raise the front a little to match the back? You've nearly as many flys on the front as mine has
Philplop
It certainly is!Nope, major scrubbage. The sound when your tyres catch your arch is horrible. Not like the sound of your car scraping speedbumps, I like that. Nope, looked silly with the little tyres and arch gap, adjusters are back out and it's low again, as it will stay. All those flies are from last night! jon_273
Nice! I like the rear poke especially Shame you can't drive on them though, and if they're just for show then they don't count P.S. is that the pea?

foxy
Haha. Sorry! Don't worry though, they shouldn't be staying on for too long anyway...Here's a close up. About 1 3/4" dish on the rears.Very sorry Phil, i was wrong. Yours are 23.3mm no 52.3mm. This would explain why they stick out so much, cause with adapters your running et 3.3......niceHere's a picture of mine to compare, mine are 23.3This one is 52.
Philplop
No way! Makes them even more of a bargain I suppose... Kind of wish they weren't though, then they'd bloody fit!Measured my adapters and theink they're actually around 22mm thick.Your dish still looks bigger than mine though... vworks41
If you went for 15mm adapters it might give you abit more room
Philplop
Finally got some spacers. 20mm each side, so I've been out for a play today. This is how it sits on the bathursts with 195's. The spacer is only on the drivers side. Much nicer stance and fills the arches well. Unfortunately there's a fair bit of scrubbing over bumps, so they'll have to stay off until the arches are rolled.Tried the Mono's on. Lovely poke, but still some scrubbing, although less than the Bathursts had.12" Mini rims with 165/60's on. Two 20mm spacers used to clear the brakes.A 3.5J et40 spacersaver with two 20mm adapters.Had these laying about () so though I'd give it a bash out of daftness. No way you'd ever get them to sit like that though, the brake disc was almost touching the bottom of the rim. 18*9's, et50.Note my cheeky sticker on the back window too. cardaft
Looks a much better stance with the bathursts and spacers Mini wheels look a little, errr, little though Space savers FTW! 4 of those would be .... different

Bit extravagant on the spacers though!I did a photo shop of spacesavers on an Arosa a while back. There is someone on E38 (I think) getting a set banded!
