  1. Move your ass and get them fitted!
  2. Can't believe I missed on this one! All good, even managed to get myself a GTi before Tigz finished his How are you doing?
  3. Hi and welcome! Be sure to open up a progress thread!
  4. That's gleaming, good job on taking good care of it! If I'm honest, I'm not a huge fan of the exhaust, but each to their own!
  5. Nice! Is the blue one in your picture an original Lupo Cup car?
  6. I can't think of anybody really...
  7. Be sure to send the centre caps to be painted with the wheels, otherwise they will not match the colour properly
  8. It looks well kept, any plans for it?
  9. Welcome aboard! Be sure to keep us posted on your progress, and make lots of pictures
  10. It does look much better than when you bought it, well done!
  11. Looks like you are taking good care of it, keep it like that!
  12. Will probably buy a new one during the Chrismas holidays, when I go back to Spain. What kind of tools do you need? Being a relay I would've thought that pulling the old one out and getting the new one in would be enough
  13. I'd never heard of this relay 109 problem... Guess the one in my SDi will fail soon enough, it turns 15 next month Glad yours is still going strong!
  14. Never tried to adjust them myself, but VW only charged me around 20 pounds to adjust them
  15. Thanks skezza. Will try to find some time this weekend to see if it's just the bulbs, I guess the Kelvins should be noted somewhere in the bulbs themselves. I will get two white ones in the future, as I like that better and the little OCD I have kicks in everytime it gets dark outside
  16. ^That's looking nice
  17. Basically what Kam said It's not that they absorb more with lowering springs, is that they are continuously absorbing. The rod inside the damper (metal part shown in the picture below) will be continuously partly compressed if you are using stock height dampers (B6) with lowring springs. By using dampers which are prepared for lowering springs (B8) this will not happen, so they will wear out at a normal rate.
  18. Looks like a clean example. I would have loved one of these as a first car, congratulations!
  19. If they are the same price I wouldn't have the slightest doubt! Can't help with where to buy as cheap as possible...
  20. Bad thing about lowering springs on standard shocks is that the shocks will wear out quicker, and while the ride is not as firm as with aftermarket, it's not as good either in terms of handling. IMO you should be good with a set of Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs, although they aren't the cheapest option...
