Jason_lupo22
Been looking around online for a while now and cant seem to find any one or any brands that sell or make show cages that fit into a lupo! Anyone know where i can find one or will i have to get it made? Cheers

Jason_lupo22
Cages a no go? Taking the back seats out for a boot build and need something to take up the left over space lol
Silver!
If you are going to put a cage in, put a real one in. Show cages are pointless. At least if you roll your car with a real cage you will be protected, whereas with a show cage it's just something else to try and kill you. Jason_lupo22
Tbh that was my first thought until I saw the price of them! That's why I want a show one lol.
danoid
Cages? planning on doing any rallying? If not, is it really worth spending X amount for some street cred points?
Jason_lupo22
No, that's my point. I literally want it to fill the space above my boot build lol.
Silver!
Polished or colour coded strut brace? Handy, but not intrusive. You could hang a helmet net on it.
Jason_lupo22
I thought about that. I just like the look of a single bar diagonally across the boot. Not sure of I can post a pic of what I mean though.
Skezza
Alternatively, if you design your boot build intuitively... you could still use it as a boot now there's an interesting concept.
Jason_lupo22
Do go on skezza. Ideas welcome! Lol
Piers
when you say boot build... please go a bit further... are you doing an audio install or air install?Lots of good ways to occupy the space but in my honest opinion, less is more. if you're not careful you could end up with loads going on and overkill it.Personally, dont bother with the cage... Lupo's are stylish and funky... not fast and aggressive. Edited August 15, 2013 by Piers
danoid
Just don't put anything there. Just because there's a space doesn't mean you need to fill it. Less weight is better for everything
Koop
What they all said. Show cage = fake safety feature that actually makes your car less safe = fail. I like Ray's strut brace idea.
JoeA
Fill the rear with b1tches and ride dirty

iiz_Node
Personally not too keen on the idea of show cages. They are over used in vars the honestly dont need them. Why waste the space with something that has no actual effect other than "scene points" but hey, each to there own mate, if you want to do it, go for it. Its your car which means its your space to use how you wish.
JoeA
I think they look cool, but the fact they make a relatively safe car (for its age and size) unsafe then it's a no brainer. Do it properly or not at all. It's like wearing a crash helmet made from cheese.
