Traded the GTI today with little sleeper.

Love it!

Love the Forge Logo on the intercooler.

Couple of panels need a little work, but its a solid little car. √

Gonna see if I can get a Lupo dash and steering wheel in there.

The main conversion is spot on, but the engine has been replaced with a 25k mile engine.

It has to anyway, I don't have the cash to finish it this year to the standard I want it to be.

I've spent many years without it, don't want to rush it as Im on a budget.

Next years financial situation should be better.

This only needs effort, not money.

The Lupo will still be put back into a car this summer, but I don't have the cash for interior, ECU and mapping right now.

Paint the front bumper and N/S wing.

Paint the mirrors black.

Fit my freshly referbished GTI rims and keep the ones that are on as winter/track wheel.

Lower the coilovers to stop be driving it fast on the road.

Fit a Lupo dash and GTI clocks.

Fit my audio with a new edition.

Either change the mk5 tailgate back to the mk4 item and possibly fit a 6N2 GTI headlamp but with the 6N grill and 16v bumper.

Want it to remain stelth though.

I saw this on Section 5 for sale and thought someone would snap up a bargain! Definitely needs a few mods in the taste department but it looks like a cool little sleeper. Wasn't the one i was thinking about when i read your facebook but i think that one was twice the price of this!

quality machine, what does the missus reckon to it?!

She doesn't like it lol

She'll come around once its done though :)

Fit the Lupo dash if you can, that will definitely smarten that interior up!

Yeah, other than than the dash the car doesnt feel that dated.

Need a GTI steering wheel as well though.

What BHp is it?

I have no idea mate, it has a K03 Turbo so cant see it being much mroe than 180 bhp?

It needs fine tuning, it is under fueling when cold and its over fueling at high revs.

The exhaust pops and bangs when you lift off at high revs in 5th B)

really nice guy.

Would have done a swap if he wasn't, glad to see my car has gone to a good home too :)

My car was probably worth £4,000 once the shock absorbers and few other bits and bobs were replaced.

But It would have cost me at least £400 to get it to how I would have felt right selling it so I am happy with the deal.

20v 6N for no money when you realise how much money has been spent.

Its a propper Sleeper dude, can't wait to embaress my first Mk5 Golf GTI

Hi Andi,

If the car was a 150/180bhp engine to start with I'd usually say around 195-210 is reasonable without excessive modifications.

As for the overfueling issue, I'd have a good strong look over all of the breather hoses as these can be problematic on these engines.

Hope that helps cheif :)

Get down on Saturday and slip it on the rolling road on the R32OC rolling road day! see what it can do!

Dude our a legend!

I could smell the same smell I had when I disconnected my breather on the GTI and left it open in the engine bay.

What am I looking out for?

Blockages?

How much will the rolling road cost me on the day?

Do you have a link?

Cheers dude!

Gota love a sleeper.

Whats the BHP?

I dunno mate, but its as much as it needs before it becomes frantic.

I would say its pretty much perfect.

Haha that is Kris' old car!

Us S5 chaps will be keeping an eye on what you do with this :P

Yeah, really nice guy.

Like him a lot, really glad we both got a great car in the deal... although I have quite a bit of work to do lol

empty your inbox andi

Get me on facebook dude, Ive decided that if I don't empty it I may stop getting PM's asking me whats the best Dump valve for a TDI

Half a tank, 138 miles.

Better than I expected.. but.

Boring bit out the question, what a fcuking car!

Coming down the M1 tonight at 75 in the left lane, wait for Merc to pass my bumper then boot it, wait for it to pass then boot it..

Couldn't get a proper traffic light grand prix tonight, except a cock in a 306 TDI with dump valve trying his luck and getting wasted more than he thought possible lol

I think my final 3 points may be used up with this motor.

I don't think I will be able to refrain from swapping the bits over into the Lupo though.

I can not live my life without this power!
