LiamD
We all love these threads I should have roughly 3-3.5k to spend on a new car to save my G40 from daily driving duties. It must be the following -*Interesting, I hate boring cars*No diesels*Have a bit of performance and handle reasonably*Must be quite big and comfy for long journeys, all the mod cons if possible!*It MUST be VAG, so I can go to VW shows in it! I'm not being a badge snob, I just don't want something non VAG because I still want to be able to enjoy the VAG shows and Euro trips.Economy is not an issue as I'm used the G40's brilliant 130 miles to 20 quid fuel.I'm currently eye-ing up Corrado VR6s and Skoda Octavia VRs'Any other ideas? jcarroll
What about a good mk2 gti? Corrado vr6s are nice but are expensive to fix. Maybe a bora sport
LiamD
I want to do the Mk2 thing one day, but at the moment no, I already have one moneypit. I don't like the interior in them for a start, and then I'd get ideas about 20vt installs, etc... I'd get carried away! Boras do nothing for me... unless it's a 2.8 24v 4 motion one. I've had a look at Audi A4 1.8T sports too, but they seem so bland! My heart seems kinda set on a VR! Found a lovely one in the spec i want... but it's a CAT C repair, all certificates and receipts for the repairs are present though...? Clairey Fairy
Seeing as you are totally doomed when it comes to cars, id say get a Leon. Not really heart-breaking stuff if/when you break it plus it means i wont get jealous of you having another Rado. Specially a berry one
