Adam K
I'm surprised.what has surprised you?the fact that i didn't go for the ctr?
Crusoe
Boring looks, front heavy understear handling, engine that isn't fun to rev and sounds dull. It's cheap to run and reasonably quick once up and running but even with the 160bhp version of the engine I was bored of my cupra and sold it after less than a year

Adam K
in all fairness i've done this for a reason.i only have about 4k outstanding left to pay till i own it, so i am gonna pay that off as quick as i can, and then keep it and get another litre bike in the summer as i miss my R1. selling the polo and my current 600cc bike in the mean time.if i had of gone for the ctr then i would have been paying a fair whack more in insurance, quite a bit more for fuel each week, and i would have ended up with a pre facelift model with fairly high mileage. On the assumption you are talking about the Polo GT PD130, then that's got to be the biggest load of poop I've read since the last Harry Potter. WetmonkeyTDI
screw the hot hatch s14 200sx or dc2I might be in the market soon and as I do 450 miles per week I need a diesel - obvious choices includeFabia VRSIbiza CupraPolo GTAudi A3 (1.9 130)Golf Mk4 (1.9 130)But I really really cant make up mind on which cus it needs to fit this bill - in order of importance. - Looks are obviously important but like all of them.Good economy (used to 1.4 TDI so will kill me seeing less than 50mpg with careful driving)Good performanceGood handlingSo point being.....how is the VRS? Adam K
so far i am well impressed with the vrs. i see 45mpg on the way to work over a 9 mile journey with some traffic jam and some free flowing traffic. if you drive a longer distance i recon you would see 45-50mpg easily.handling is good, much better than i was expecting, and this is while the weather is crappy and wet, so i'm looking forward to trying it in the dry.
