Very festive room you have there John, and a nicely decorated tree, too smile.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Thats a huge tree mate smile.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

love the effort put in there, the extra decoration around the clock just finishes the whole thing off tongue.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

That tree is bigger than your flat!

I'm going to our local Tree farmer to pick one this week, not had a real tree for a couple of years now.

Like getting them round here as you can pick which you want, they then cut it down and deliver it biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

They're energy efficient - 7w each and not very hot tongue.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

and get your speakers set to a correct height, not going to have optimal sound if you sit in that chair

They're actually set at around the right height - ear level if you're sitting in the chair.

if there are stereo speakers they shouldn't be right at the side of your ear. tongue.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

No, the placement isn't perfect - in fact the other one is stuffed down by a sofa, unfortunately. But, roughly level with the ear is correct height-wise, although not directly next to your ear.

you must be a short ass if your ears don't get much above the arms of your sofa biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> they don't look like floor standers in the first place.

Here's a different perspective:

lounge1.JPG border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />

They're above the arm height, and the seats do swallow you slightly. Besides, it's *roughly* ear height.

They're not floorstanders, that's why they're on stands! Those stands are made for those speakers.

need to get that sorted out, won't do at all. TV needs turned straight so you can see it head on from at least one of the seats and you'll either get blasted in the ear form one side or the other where your speakers are placed... (All the girls would probably want some pictures and flowers on the mantelpiece too lol)

P.S. gloss paint isn't supposed to be used on the ceiling lol
