We've seen a few times how they have buggered up resprays, look at the hassle Loopy Lupo had with his car and the repair work done, and that was silver, they never fixed it properly. Its true, its not rocket science, but they still frack it up often enough.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I agree mate.But when dont you have to be wary bhen buying a car.If they dont do a good job, you dont buy it.But its worth while giving them a chance dont you think? Slyclone Posted August 5, 2005 Report Share Posted August 5, 2005 (edited) Its not rocket science but its not as easy as you may think, I trained for 4 years to become a panel beater and I can tell you its not that easy, and like every job there is always a cock-up along the line, the difference between a good ARC and a bad one is whether you sort out the problem or leave it. The thing I would be worried about in this case is the fact that the ARC that have carried out work on this car seem to like to bodge and therefore I would not put it past them having done some more bodges around the car that as yet have not shown up. There could be a lot of problems that can and quite often do get covered over. The fact that the garage are offering huge 'goodwill gestures' would make me think 2 things...either they are truly sorry for the aggrovation or they are buttering him up because they know what else there might be wrong with the car. The subtle modder Posted August 7, 2005 Report Share Posted August 7, 2005 well good luck if your happy haveing a repaired car then alright but just remember as i said a car that has had panels replaced and a part spray job will never last as long as an original from the factrory car thats without a doubt And you cant just nock alluminum back into shape as its very tempremental and will require very carefull panel beating to get into shapeAnd make sure you do as you said and get it all in writing especially the one of 'if repaired and im not happy i get all the cash back with no deduction' and just a bit of advice when you pick it up take three mates with youwho arent pissed and get them to thoroughly check the car such as pulling at bumpers etc as you should be able to rag a bumper to death and it not come offwhat are the extras there chucking in hope its not services by there expert service people who originally damaged the car a nice BMC induction kit and ABT bodykit would be far more suitable in my eyes style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
