  8. OK guys as some of you will know I am now driving a Passat, just recently my factory fitted multichanger has been refusing to play any type of CD. It reads the discs but doesnt play them instead on the Headunit display it says E1 Focus. Although the car came with bundles of paperwork there seems to be no instructions about the multichanger. Anyone have any ideas?

  13. Brilliant mate, such a beautiful plane, I live on the Isle of Wight and there are plenty of links to the Spitfire over here! Thanks for sharing them with us!
  14. If you choose the bodyshop that you want and dont take your car to the insurances recommended bodyshop you can lose the right to a courtesy car. Excess is normally paid on collection of the car AFTER the damaged has been repaired
  15. Even cat D write offs can have chassis damage, altough panel alignment will be a problem its the geometry of the suspension that would be the biggest problem. Getting any damaged car checked for alignment on a jig is something I would highly reccomend. Just to point out if the airbags have NOT deployed its not to say that there is no chassis damage, airbags do not always fire, for example we have a new mini in at work at the moment that hit a bank and landed in a field on its side and none of the airbags fired!! DIY repairs are a great way of getting a nice car at an affordable price but bewear that it is not asd easy as people think.
  16. I can host them for you if you mail them to me on... buzz_1658@hotmail.com
  17. Just reading the original post and I would be supprised if there is no panel damage to her car...plastic bumper spring back to shape and without having a look at the back panel or boot floor there is no way you can say its just a few scratches...claim on your insurance and stop blaming women drivers for you not paying attention and leaving a sensible gap between you and the car in front. I wouldnt like to go into the 'mates rates' costs of your repairs but if you wanted to post some pics and a list of all the parts needed I could give you a figure!
  18. Festy season is nearly here...are any of you guys going to any...if you are what ones?
  19. It was in a 200 Lupo Sport. Fot those of you wanting to know symptoms...the most noticable was the clutch pedal sitting lower than the brake pedal.

You must have his e-bay username? Contact e-bay and see if they can trace him...or if he is using a dodgy address see if they can trace a fixed IP address... Thats real bad luck though mate
  21. Got mine done on my 5 year old sport free of charge as a goodwill gesture
  22. I wouldnt personnaly use T-Cut its a bit too rough...I would recommend using a professional polish like Farecla G3 then finishing with a hand glaze. Machine polishing would be great, if you are unsure take it to a good bodyshop, they will be able to polish it out for you and if its that small it shouldnt cost that much. The way I look at it is...if you are unsure spend a few quid and get a professional do it...it could save you a fortune if you mess it up!
  23. Rust is a real pain in the bum...not trying to worry you but once rust has started in places like this its very hard to get rid of it, the guttering in a cars roof is normally the join line where the roof skin is welded to the car. Rust here is almost certainly due to poor workmanship resulting in sealer having a gap in it allowing water into the join. The rust you can see will be quite easy to get rid of, but its whats between the panels that you cannot see that the real worry.
  24. I would use some car body adhesive sealer tobond the 2 parts together then glass over the top of them! It might be worth cutting a hole in some fine mesh and putting that over the bonded part and glassing over that, that should make it nice and strong...and dont fit it in the bloody dark!
  25. Might be a water leak somewhere but try this...about 2 mins from your destination turn the heater right down and open your window, when you arrive shut the window and see what happens. Condensation occurs because of the differance in the inside and outside temp, by 'aclimatising' your car you can stop this happening so sevearly!
