  1. Quite like the theme to 'one tree hill' myself , "I don't want to be" by Gavin Degraw from what I remember
  2. As far as I'm aware there all interchangeable anyway, off memory I know the FK's on mine are listed as being suitable for Arosa and Lupo 1.0 & 1.4 etc and the cheaper manufacturers seem even more interchangeable so just tell the supplier what car you have and let them worry about the code Wayne
  3. yeah left it switched on while charging it did it evertime i plugged it in the wall or computer so got sick of turning it off And very pleased with it so far, have been playing on it all day while i was meant to be doing some work, oh well just need to get a case or one of them invisi shields now as the buggers already littered with finger prints and i dont want it getting scratched at work, any recomendations? And Tigz id defo recomend one, i was playing on my mates old iphone at work last night and although at first glance you wouldnt tell them apart mine is soo much faster and seems quicker to respomd, whether that will wear of is yet to be seen, oh an just go you local 02 store, online site is useless i jst kept getting told they were out of stock and the call centre just kept me on hold while they checked for 10 minutes so i gave up wayne
  4. After listening to Nicki i did a credit check and all seemed clean , so sent it to nicki and she agreed same as me and said to ring 02 customer services just to check why it didnt go through but thought id go one better and as i had an hour free thought stuff it ill go in the 02 shop at the local shopping centre and see if i can get it there went in and within 10 minutes walked out with a 16Gb on £45 tarriff, she saids it went straight through with no warnings or anything and credit expert confirmed there was nothing wrong with my report so i have just rang that bloke up at car phone warehouse and gave him a right bollocking over the phone i was being nice at first but then he gave me the line of "maybe were a bit stricter on who we take on?" which really wound me up after never being refused for anything in my life untill i dealt with this twerp, and as its 02 who would be taking me on in the first place its complete nonsense i can now be an iphone sales rep like Nicki and Jon and make apple even more money just charging it now so will have to leave it at home tonight before i get to see if i have made the right decission wayne
  5. Tried experian for my brother before and the report we got back was so basic its unreal, it was also meant to be a free trial version but he ended up getting charged £15 we havent moved in last 8 years, havent had any debt on any of us which is why we were so confused, i was so inbarrased it was unreal, all of a sudden the shop goes quite and you look like a dole scrounger trying to get a phone when the truth couldnt be more different, as dad said its so ironik that the first time i try to get any form of contract/finance i get refused wayne
  6. Well decided to bite the bullet and sign up for one today, went in car phone warehouse and having played with one for 15 minutes decided to have a 16GB one on £45 a month so he got the phone and we put my details in on the computer and account details etc, then my heart sank when he said "youve been declined" i couldnt and still cant quite believe or understand it apparently even though the account that i was attaching it to has £3k in it which is more than enough to pay for the phone 3 times over he thinks i must have a bad credit rating and be high risk, doubtfull i think as i got confirmed on a mortgage last month for £51k with ease so £45 a month doesnt strike me as much outlay i have now got to figure out a way round it and sort the problem out, especially to see if any credit hackers etc have attached something to me as i have never in my life been near overdraft or debt of any kind and now getting refused for something so trivial, he wanted to sign me up under mum and dads name and use my account details but i have never used my parents to get things before and refuse to start now anyone else had similar problems? wayne
  7. You mean Seat Arosa Mk2 rear lights not lexarse lights and i have a spare set sitting on my desk wayne
  8. Do they have photo mesaging? one review i just watched said there pre release demo version they were testing didnt have but it was expected to be added by production time? if not surely means you cant just send a picture message to your mates etc? i know the interent on my G600 takes to long to load and costs too much so i never use it to check emails etc which would be the only ohter option wayne
  9. Al its rare for you but on this subject you are completely wrong, the TT frames are a completely different setup than the golf/lupo frames which requires the need to start from scratch on the mounts for both front and rear seats like i did in mine, also mine are late 2000-early 2001 and are same seats and frames as in an 54 225 coupe i test drove a few months back so i dont think they changed them to be like the golf either Only thing id say on this subject is use the TT frames and runners as you then keep the hydraulic height adjustment and solid sturdy audi frames and the seat belt clips etc all work with the standard belt so no need to change them, the main requirement is to make a solid front mount joining both front seat runners, dont half arse this as in a crash its the only mount that will stop you going through the dash as the rears are moveable wayne
  10. assuming you have a 16gb version jon? any probs at all? i know you and nicki have them you seem the biggest fans on this site after looking through previous posts around launch time and also whats this i have read about havig it in white? 2 sites have said its only in apple stores though i swear i havent seen one of them stores? thats the only thing that kinda puts me off rob i have never had a contract or finnance of any kind before and being locked into it for 18 months at £45 a month is a bit excessive but im bored of my G600 and always on tinterweb so figure this could suit me wayne
  11. what about a lupo/polo gti engine conversion? seems a good time to do it and usually available if you shop about? if i was myself to be spending that money and keepin it original engine id be getting new bits and building the engine id used and experienced before rather than buy an unknown one, there is alot you can miss on a quick strip down and rebuild and it doesnt really save you time ore money unless you can get a real bargain wayne
  12. i know litterally just read that on one of the american websites 2mg is beyond ****, my samsung g600 which i class as old now has a very good quality 5mgp, and having no video is very very dissapointing, apparently no flash either quite surprsied how many BAD reviews there is on the internet to be honest, most from american sites admitedly but alot with genuine grievences to back it up to be honest Rob nearly every site aggrees that it has the best web useage ability and software on any smartphone on the market, the phone is apparently very "basic" (ironick they call it 'iphone') , the sat nav isnt really sat nav just moving mapping software that isnt suited to helping you get somewhere on a car journey of any distance Im not one to buy things just because there the latest out, although i did do that years and years ago at school when MP3 players first came over from abroad and i had a top spec MP3 player while everyone was showing off their sony walkman tape player still want one though think im gonna go and bite the bullet tommorrow, cant believe i can sign up in store, get the phone and then still have to register the lovely person on i tunes before i can use it wayne
  13. Well i have had mobiles for years but always had pay as you go, im tempted by the new iphone but its not available on P&G till november and to make use of the net etc it will cost at least £10-15 in bolt ons alone and i spend £10-20 a month on credit for my G600 so its near contract money so today i went into the 02 shop and was told the usual £30,£35,£45 contracts and as i have a 3/4 full 80GB ipod classic im gonna need the 16GB upgrade at £59 and then £99 for the phone unless i went on the £45 and up contract, asked if i got anything for 4 of us in the house being with them for 5 years plus and 2 of them being on contracts and was told a blank NO so went in car phone wareouse and was told much the same although the girl was much nicer to deal with but again no deals etc Am i missing something here? i expected no deals on its launch but surely now its been out over a month and is the 2nd generation there must be a deal? i have never brought a car at its first advertised price and believe theres always a deal to be done but i can only find it forsale in the above 2 places i tried and neither would budge, 02 being particularly rude with the attitude of "if you dont buy it son someone else will be in later today or tommorrow to do so" cheers for any help and advice wayne
  14. We have had 2 1.4 Mpi Arosas and although both manuals they both ticked over at about 600 revs and sounded like they had lumpy cams fitted , we were assured on both of them that this was normal with this engine and that the only way to adjust it was through Vagcom (its simply a standard adjustable setting when plugged in) i didnt have it done as to be honest i just got used to it, can imagine it could be tricky with an auto unless driving as suggested above although it sounds quite risky unless your on the ball wayne
  15. hi how are you lately? im assuming u still have the 2 arosas? Well i had organised to have a new mini cooper S and had agreed a very good part-x deal for the arosa, was picking it up on the saturday but on the tuesday before i was browsing the internet and found a car i had always liked for a very tempting price so much so that by thursday lunchtime it was sitting on my drive A Peugeot 206 GTi 180, as name suggests 180bhp standard with stiffended rear beam, 17's, sparco buckets seats, climate control and many many other little bits, i have no pics on this new laptop otherwise id put a pic up, done a few things to it since i have had it and if i have it at end of year im having it remapped and it should chuck out a genuine 190bhp when done so problem is i brought it cash as it was almots half the price of the cooper S i was buying and so didnt need to sell the arosa straight away, 1 year on and the arosa is still here i cant bring myself to sell it i keep using it for work etc when i break the 180 and it starts first time every time and purs like a kitten, no bangs rattles or squeeks i really cant fault it, its a hell of a lot slower (it is quite litterally a 1/3rd of the power) and handling isnt as precise but its a laugh to drive and sooo smooth compared to the 180's manic cam kick driving style it is hopefully going in the pper this weekend though as to be honest its a damn waste just sitting there so if anyone wants a 1 of a kind arosa in truly pristine condition Pm me wayne
  16. A Mate of my dads had a Meganne f1 R27 and even now he saids this is easily one of the best cars hes ever had and alot of the time regrets selling it, but hes a site worker and with money burning a hole in his pocket he decided to get his dream car, an Evo 8 Fq 320 with a genuine ralliart pack taking it up to 400bhp done from new by the dealer with masses of receipts to prove all he said to me while i was drooling over it was that it is everyhting you could dream of and hope for but the running costs are worse than you could ever imagine I was saying how when i hammer my 180 i get down to 19MPG and he soon made me feel good when he said that does 6 and although he does drive it properly even when pottering about its apparently seriously bad, he has done 2 track days in it, 1 being at silverstone and saids its as at home on track as it is on the road but due to the running costs it is now ONLY a weekend toy with the works van being used all week and other trips etc which he didnt have to do with the meganne it didnt put me off though and i always said id get an evo this year but for me insurance has said no to that but going off your previous cars im not sure that will be such a problem although worth checking first on the scooby subject i wouldnt bother i always dreamed of a scooby as the looks to me are pretty much spot on, and the sound of them is the best you will here this side of a lambo IMO but while searching for dads new car one car he looked at was a 2003 Impreza wagon WRX with a Pro drive pack with apparently 252bhp and was at a main dealer, i went with dad and acused him of not driving it properly so after a swift word with the dealer we swapped over and i drove One word DISSAPOINTED, yes the traction out of round-abouts was entertaining (it was a wet and cold afternoon with greasy roads from the night before) and once id mastered laucnching it from standstill it was a laugh but the outright performance i thought was ****, i was expecting it to really impress me but it just disapointed me, i drive a tuned 206 GTi 180 and the scooby felt no quicker the dealer was quick to say "well the upgrade from your car would of course be an Sti and not a WRX even if it has got a pack" but i think hes wrong after all an Sti jumps straight to grp 20 insurance and for me thats well out of reach and ALOT more powerfull than mine and ALOT more money wayne
  17. Very nice conversion and is such a sleeper in the stadard GTi body from a quick read through i have gathered its custom mounts all round (2x for engine and 1 for the box) is it a case of standard leon mounts modified to fit onto the chassis legs etc or both the legs and mounts etc cut about to get it all fitting? also you didnt mention drive shafts from what ive seen, assuming these would be hybrid cut and sleeved leon/lupo units to the required size? and how easy was it connecting up the gear linkage and clutch mechanism? i have a tuned 180+bhp 206 but im getting bored and need an excuse to keep the arosa that i cant bring myself to sell wayne
  18. assuming your after it roughly lookin like mine in the sig? great colour to start with i think i was going to cannica the centres on my wheels but my mates got off white wheels on his car and theyre a lovely person to keep clean and the brake dust has started to stain the paint behind and between the spokes so that put me off keep it simple and tidy and most of all browse all the forum classifieds sections for the required bits there is almots always what your looking for on one of them wayne
  19. TT seats are nice and IMO fit very well when done properly
  20. Mine will be for sale in the new year, its a 1.4 MPi but just as cheap to insure as the 1.0's, same tax and ALOT better performance, on a 53 plate but with only 9k miles from new and loads of mods as can be seen in my sig VERY VERY looked after car i want £4200 for it and have enough recepits with it to more than justify the price, the Audi TT front AND rear seats set it apart from nearly every other you will see on autotrader PM me if your interested wayne
  21. Theyre a nice car but on that millage is it really that much of a bargain? plus the fact if its the car in question it could have had a harder than usual 45k miles? (towing is hardly easy on a car) i had my arosa 1.4 S for sale on a 53 plate for £4200 earlier in the year (not christmas time when as you say no one wants to buy) yes its a petrol not diesel but theyre still damn good and the main thing its only just ticked on to 9k miles and is truly mint and has £2500 worth of extras such as full audi leather, 2 sets of alloys, coilovers etc etc and always looked after never thrashed from cold etc yet no ones stumped up the cash good luck with the car wayne
  22. Been driving for last 3 years and learnt a big big lesson 3 months after passing, i like to think now im quite good driver i accelerate upto the speed limit straight away but never go past it and anyone who knows me or seen me drive will know im at home going through country lanes or cornering etc, i actually annoy one of my mates as he tends to slightly speed everywhere and slow for corners (uses brakes too much) and im the opposite i cruise at 30 see a corner or roundabout and cog it down and boot it round which always livens him up and i rarely use the brakes unless really needed im a confident driver and always put trust in my cars which is why im always so fussy on it all being straight and in good condition etc, as i showed my father last weekend hen he was driving the arosa and braking and slowing down for corners and i was saying "back on the acclerator " "off the bloody brakes" i know what the car will do (a big rule in driving iMO) and trust it i was told by my driving instructor and my mates dad who is also now a qualified driving instructor that im a very good driver with great controll and confidence but tend to be quite aggresive with the car when pressing on like comparing clarkson against a racing driver both quick but like clarkson i tend to piss about too much apparently my biggest downfall is road rage and to be honest i will agrree as it does really really rile me up when someone shows such a lack of car for other road users etc and i do give alot of road rage in cases like this but would never get violent overall i think im pretty good, im controlled in what speeds i do, in control most of the time and generally confident, i do have my downfalls as stated above and like many of us will admit but compared to other 'road users' i arent that bad although i would like some proper track tuition in future as you can never learn too much wayne
  23. still well dodgy in my oppinion tell your sister if it is real and she gets it, its straight, isnt stolen etc i will give her £5000 so £2k profit in a week will save me £6k wayne
  24. they still look awesome in that pic, if the arosa was staying id have them, they really will look smart with a set of proxes on them and car dropped 40mm wayne
