  1. in regard to the 4x100 to 5x100 change, couldn't you just swap over the flanges or are the ID of the bearings different? (I've got Lupo GTi brakes to go on my lupo next time im home) Good project and would be great to see it when it's finished.
  2. Thanks for the part numbers, might see about some uprated ones if it's going cost me that sort of money for standard ones.
  3. As the title suggests, has anyone got the part number for the Red HT Leads off a 1.4 Sport? or know where i can get them from. Thanks Graham
  4. If you are going to strip it and sell it for parts, How much would you want for the following: Front bumper including Fog lights , Inlet manifold including injectors and Throttle body, Rear axle including the rear brakes etc. And Front hubs / Brakes I can come and collect (and also remove off the vehicle if need be) as i'm at uni in Stoke I look forward to your reply. Thanks Grazza
  5. did you manage to get this complete and how is it running now?
  6. i went out and tested it with a magnet last night and sadly it's alloy time to get looking to see if anywhere does line honing near me :/
  7. Hi Guys, did you find the torque settings in the end and also I've read if you remove the crankshaft it distorts the block, did this happen to you and have you any words of wisdom you would share with me about doing an engine rebuild (i'm looking to do one in 3 weeks time) Thanks
  8. Hi Everyone, I'm after some information regarding doing an engine re-build. What I want to know is what is a 1.4 AHW Engine block made from? is it an alloy block or cast? the main reason I want to know is if I can change the big end bearings or not on it as I don't with to strip it out and find the block has twisted slightly (thus rendering it useless). Also can anyone give me any tips as i'm planning doing it all for in about 3 weeks time (when I finish work and before I go to uni. All help is very welcome Thanks in advance Grazza
  9. i paid £250 but im sure you can get cheaper else where.
  10. it depends, the new sump plugs come with a washer already on (the one pictured) whereas you could snip the ring and pull it off and put a copper washer on, but i've always found its fairly cheap to just get a new sump plug n washer.
  11. i've got a custom cat back exhaust, but you can pick up replacement exhaust systems online for the lupo quite cheap
  12. jealous much. my milage has a 1 infront and a few extra thousand ontop :/ and i'm after a set of cambridge lights to help my tranformation
  13. looks like the dust cover, and im guessing these are second hand? and you might be able to get a universal replacement part, and i would replace as you dont want dirt and road grime attacking the seals on the damper and will potentially causing it to break down sooner than expected
  14. clean the filler cap and put it back on, then give it a good run and see if it comes back?
  15. welcome to club lupo bud!
  16. the springs will be catching in the rear cups (mine do it i just turned the springs around) and are they brand new just been fitted? as they need a little time to settle in and did you use your old topmounts or buy new?
  17. i'm loving the wheels. looks spot on!
  18. thermostat? broken waterpump? headgasket gone ? (with the mayo shown in http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?/topic/95097-green-lupo-sport/ thread) give it a good service and see if this helps with anything (oil, oil filter, plugs, air filter etc) also what colour is your coolant? and is it mucky?
  19. i used a breakerbar (a long one) with the socket on, mine was on very tight (almost couldn't get it undone) but finally budged after about 10 mins of tugging and a few carefully chosen words. hope this helps
  20. i have the exact same coilovers, left the helpers in, had the rings 40mm from the bottom (where the hub bracket is) and its got the tyres just tucked under the arches on the front, and woudn the rear all the way down and theres a small gap in the arch for the rear, (thinking of taking the adjuster out of the back to get a little bit more lowness.
  21. just reset the light as you only did the service 2k ago. just keep an eye on the colour of the oil and the level. to reset the service light have your keys in the ignition all the way off press the "reset" button for the trip computer (trip miles) and turn the key straight after. hold until you get 3 lines go across "- - -" then turn off and let go, all done.
  22. i went straight for JOM coilovers and the shocks are spot on from when im finding so i say JOM or equivelant...
