Unless i see that car in the flesh or the paint code i dont believe it was laser blue. Laser blue is darker than raven and i think the dealer just got mixed up between the later laser normal loops.

If you compare all of the Ravens on the site they all look different in colour, it depends what camera the pic has been taken on in my eyes.

right, as far as i know, GTI's came in the following colours

flash red - LP3G

Moon Silver Metallic - LR7X

Black - L041

Reflex Silver Metallic - LA7W

Raven(na) Blue - LA5W

Blue/Anthracite Pearl Effect - LC7V

don't think it came in tornado red (LY3D), tho i could be wrong!

Oooohh, I saw an anthracite one ages ago, last year I think. Around Anslow-ish (near Burton on Trent), think it was in August. If I could have had any other colour it would have been that colour!

I HAVE A BLACK 2001 LUPO GTI. I DIDNT REALISE THAT BLACK WAS SO COMMON IN GTI. ONLY ONES IV SEEN IN REAL LIFE ARE SILVER, RED AND BLUE. HAVENT SEEN ANOTHER BLACK 1 YET! THERE VERY RARE IN YORKSHIRE.

I think the most common colours are Black and Silver, with Red, Raven Blue and Anthracite being the rarer ones.

I think you are correct, but i also think the black was a no-cost option as that and the red were non-metallic. The only colours i have seen on the road that weren't a members car or at a show have been black and silver.

I wanted a red one, but was in a rush to get one as I was carless so settled for black. Ive seen more silver ones on the road that any others, but I wouldnt be able to tell you which silvers.

Never seen another black one.

Because they're different colours.

And you've just made it pointless by guessing what colour you have.

Tornado is darker.

Look at the paintcode under your boot carpet or in your owners handbook.

Tornado is LY3D I believe.
