treblet
To do it properly you need 3L wings, but it's possible to trim the corners of the bumper to fit...Or you could trim the corners of the wings to fit the bumper.
jamiea7x
if you change the wings youll need to mod them where they meet the sills as they differ on the 3l's
niallod
right seriously considering this... need to know a few things....firstly is the depth of this bumper larger than a standard bumper.... if so how much, when bumper is chopped t fit at corners does it leave a lot showing?will this still flush to my existing wings or may there be a small gapand are there vw stamps on the bumper. treblet
The bit you'd trim on the bumper is the edge where on your car currently the bumper and indicator panel meet the wing as the 3L has a rounded edge on the bumper not a straight cut. You won't notice any difference if you were to chop the corners properly and it should still sit flush to the wings. The bumper sits slightly lower than the standard Lupo bumper approx 10mm but could be more. What do you mean by VW stamps? Do you mean is it original?

ToJo
Quite interested, just wondering if you've got any close up picks of the edge that meets with the wing, to see what need's to be cut.
Rich
You need to square off that edge there.Alternatively you can reshape the wings which any decent bodyshop should be able to do.You'll have to get it painted anyways so it's not a biggie to do the wings and you get a mini front refresh if you blag the bonnet in.
