Adam
just re-read it and realised its got all the symptoms of being stored in his garage over the winter. I'm such a tit! Bring back the footy thread so at least i know what i'm talking about
Niche
Spark plugs and oil!edit: you do realise that's no lupo until at least the end of March! Edited November 28, 2008 by Niche
Niche
Also I can't remember the name of this product but you can apply it to the underside of your car and it prevents it from being attacked by the salt preventing it from rusting. Niche
That sounds like it to me!Does it actually work though? And is it flammable?
dxg
Yup - off the road until the new year. It needs some work to the underside, anyway, so a good time to do it...At some point someone's damaged the underseal at one of the ramp jacking points and now it's starting to get noticeable. I've got the PORIS rust treating kit and wire wheel sitting ready... Edited November 28, 2008 by dxg
penry
That sounds like it to me!Does it actually work though? And is it flammable? Yes, and YES! Used to seal underside of cars after welding etc. Putting too much on though just means crap sticks to it.
treblet
i never use waxoyl, i just use that horrificly thick black underseal that you get in spray tinsits a pain in the ass if you wear glasses though because you end up with tiny black spots all over them!! Niche
My mate has a tin at his garage which is a very thin oil based oil spray. He sprayed it on the parts that had developed rust and it disappeared. Lasts for quite a few months too.

Alex_225
Done the same with my Megane mate, thats now cleaned, waxed, covered and on charge in the garage until the new year. Waxoyl is the stuff to protect the underside although its meant to be horribly messy stuff.

dxg
Well, the Lupo had to be called back into service a week or so ago when the VRS decided to do this:http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kVRnwHJN0xMnot to worry, because this:http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_0U4whxdQEc (listen to the irony of what was on the radio that morning...)is what it's all really about (Still need to fix the floor pan, though...)
