well reading this makes me appreciate how fast technology moves.

and i remember thinking the big "turbo" button on the front of my pc was cool that boosted the processor from 8mhz to 16mhz. and there was a big digital green lit readout on the case that confirmed indeed you had gone from 8 to 16mhz.

awesome console setup what you got for the audio?

I have Sony STR-DA 1200 ES amp

Mono Pulse speakers front 42A and rears 32A custom built and tuned to how I want them... Mates dads owns the company.

Acoustic energy center speaker from my old set up.

B&W 100w Sub.

If you are after any Monopulse speakers I can get them Half price and in any colour paint or cloth combo.. they sound the nuts and I have mine sprayed to match my tv surround colour!

Monopulse

But if the Mrs is home I am not allowed to play loud so I have to put some headphones. On. At the moment I have been using my Shure earphones but I am looking for a good set of Cup earphones which mimick surround sound.

Mine is truely ancient now. I can't afford a new one till I start working (again) which will be about 10 months :P TBH though, I don't really need anything better at the moment since it manages to run all the games I play (rFactor, Live For Speed and Half Life 2) just fine. I made it just before I came to Uni in 2003:

Athlon XP 3000+

Gigabyte GANNXP nForce 2 motherboard

2x 512Mb 400FSB Corsair matched pair

256Mb nVidia GeForce FX 5900Ultra

7200rpm 120Gb SATA system drive

7200rpm 250Gb SATA storage drive

7200rpm 350Gb Firewire backup drive

Creative Audigy 2 soundcard

Coolermaster Case

4x case fans
