i removed the engine and box so i could do the thing easier, also allowed for wiring check and chassis leg cleaning, those wishbones are the worst i've ever seen both of them popped out when the car was lifted of the ground  , gti inlet manifold and t body is now on, i made blanking plates for egr,new gearbox and clutch now fitted and the car drives very well

i was out in the rain on friday night no problems. so maybe it was the t body or indeed the egr, i sprayed all the connectors with water repellent before re connecting.

Spat the dummy out in the rain today.

You have no idea how sick of this car I am. I spend spend spend but theres always something wrong with it. Spent nearly £500 in the last week on it.

Think I might buy another 1.0L Polo, at least I can drive them in the rain

why not stop being under the thumb and go and strip the sealer off the engine bay in your polo ?

there's nothing at all wrong with cheap polo's.

you'll never replicate the fun that you have with them.
