How to get a good start off

on my way home from a cruise tonight and pulled up to a fiesta zetec 02reg (1.6) anyway he started edgin forward so i thought (y not)

he got a good cars length infront of me on the start off and i couldnt quite catch him until high end 2nd gear!

is there any tips/techniques for a good start off? i.e what revs etc. . . .

Those words along side a story of racing, worry me about gti's becoming too common for there own good...

???? i just went with a couple of lads for a laugh another GTi was there too.

i found if i set revs lift cluch to just biting hold it on the hand brake it works best for me and the gear box as it dont get a sudon loading

My red Lupo was confiscated yesterday, and it sits in an impound lot in Dudley. It's about 20 miles from here. The car isn't important. What is important is the package I left in the glove box. The first team back here with the package will have an opportunity to work for me.
