DJ
border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> Having lost the rights to use the Rover name via some deft trademark swappery between BMW and Land Rover, Shanghai Auto is changing its brand strategy. The new owners of rights to build the erstwhile Rover 25 and 75 in China will do so under a new name and logo: Rowr! Roewe or, in Chinese, Rong Wei (I kid you not). The company made the announcement ahead of the Bejing auto show next month, where it will unveil a car derived from the 75, dubbed 750E, which it plans to export to Europe and the US.Rong Wei border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> Edited October 13, 2006 by DJ

Tigz™
Look at the rear end pic, it has more than a hint of a BMW 6 Series in the quarter panel lines.
Max69vk
Whats with the front end? Looks like they've done an Audi 'sad boy' conversion!

Petes 16V Sport
audi called... they want their grill back.... looks even more like the audi one than the old rover one did!why does the back end look hyundai now? they had a perfectly nice rear, why mess with it! Interior on the other hand is a slight improvement - the centre console is better than the old 75 one.
cardaft
Looks awful, they have ruined something which didnt look all that bad. I read somewhere that it may not be comming over here as is much softer than the original 75 and im not sure it meets the safety standards for the UK.Chris

stevewp
Some of the interior's an improvement, some of it's worse. And I think they've definately been robbing ideas of other manufacturers on the exterior styling.Think I'll stick with my British built one (my, how I just know I'm going to end up regretting saying that one day!)
