I also have the 40d... but thinking of upping to the 50d... have you seen the spec? 15mb!was that with a tripod by the way? have you increased the sharpness? I keep borrowing my mates one lolI thought about the 50D but my plan is to wait for the new full frame body to come out (I’ve heard its going to be called 7D) and keep my 40D as a spare/back upI didn’t use a tripod for that shot. I bought another one which the home insurance said they would cover me for if I send off the invoice for it...The plan is to give the repaired one to my brother when he gets his 450d...The canon 50d is a lot more than the 40d too...
