  1. I changed one on my tdi in the rain with no axle stands or anything, the diesels have the starter at the front of the box was around 50 quid from ECP That was trade mind
  2. For the full electrical fail check the strip fuses on top of your battery, as for uneven idle it could be many a thing, but chances are an air leak or dirty throttle body, have a search dude.
  3. 12 month warranty, send that **** back and get another set from else where.

I had a 1L at the time and a spare 100 quid so it was no big deal, and it just made it a little more bearable. I mainly had it done just to see, I was under no illusion it was going to turn it in to a wheel spinning monster only stage one after all

Was my 1L that was mapped, money well spent IMO, cost me around 100 quid iirc for what was essentially a custom map at the time. Don't get me wrong it didn't set the world on fire bit it felt a lot better, was a bit better on fuel too.
  6. Any decent one will do it, I'm curious as to why you stripped an engine because of a bolt
  7. If your that bothered just get your tracking done, it's so hard to see if its toeing out or in by eye unless its seriously out, it's worth the 20 - 30 quid as well just to know your not scrubbing **** out of your new tyres .
  8. What are your tyres wearing like.
  9. Do it from underneath, I find the chain on a socket removal tools the best. Failing that smash the bottom of the filter in with a chisel to relieve the pressure and the. Screw it off
  10. If you really must have some extra noise an air filter would be a better option, could always drill the crap out of the air box if your a bit of a gypo. A loud exhaust on a long journey is the equivalent of trying to have a dump in piece with your mrs nagging you.
  11. Bargain can just about get a micra for that these days, FairPlay .
  12. On my polo tdi the connected for that pipe goes in to the loom if the air mass meter. And then follows left up the plenum chamber. Here's a pic it's not very clear tho. Is there any chance you could measure the diameter off the exhaust is you still have it I particular before the cat and after the mid box HTH Excuse my poor grammer on the iPhone
  13. They moaned about being equal an now they are there moaning.
  14. It's behind a cover under the steering wheel on a 6n polo

  16. ^^^ What he said, put your location up, or get on eGay and get a lead I'f you have a laptop then post your logs.
  17. The part number for a 2001 Lupo and polo turbo is 045 145 701 I think I may have got my lines crossed some where as etka does list a part number for the exhaust mani on the amf tdi (045 253 031) So does infact look like a 2 piece i have a turbo tucked away somewhere so will dig it out later and have a look
  18. Heater reostat / resister pack, quite common across the range tbh.
  19. 1 piece, should have a garret gt15 waste gate turbo iirc
  20. Sounds awsome considering its a 3 pot. Been debating to loose the back box on my tdi for a while. Don't want it to noisy tho. Strong work buddy
