  1. The GTI has two little buttons, one on the speedo and one on the rev counter to adjust the clock. Left button for hours, right button for minutes. Just a push button, not a twist.
  2. Mine has been grinding badly for over 4 years and I've hit some massive bumps. Can't believe it's shattered! Surprising that an Audi specialist is happy to notch it, most people are horrified by the suggestion of it!
  3. No, I just painted mine black. Because I am tight.
  4. I bought one that just said iPod and it works with my phone. It flashes up "This accessory is not optimised for use with iPhone, interference may be present" or something along those lines, but it works ok.
  5. Although a rear ARB and braking on corners probably wouldn't go down too well...
  6. Yeah, it's the drivers side. If it only has a few scratches then I wouldn't worry about it. Mine looks as if it rubs right next to the subframe mount (IIRC).
  7. Haha, I lost another one last week! I've only lost 3 I think, I just take ages to replace them so I'm always without. I can recommend Dale though, got my last pair off him.
  8. I've never heard of any tyres coming off the rims in bends, no matter how big the stretch. A couple of people have reported blowouts, but that's not necessarily down to the stretch. I had 165/50/15 Nankangs on some 8J's and drove pretty hard round the twisties and never had any problems.
  9. Thanks. Aye, it is quite over to the left, but I was trying to cut out another sheep that was right next to it. I need bootcuts. I am a cowboy. And they're still mega skinny at the ankles, I can't wear them with my trainers because it looks stupid.
  10. Just checked mine and there isn't a tear off thingy. Mine are 512's though... Took this next one at the Buttertubs. IMG_9331a by Philplop, on Flickr

  12. That's what I was thinking.

  14. Hire cars must bump it up loads too. My mate was given one for a while and it ended up a claim for thousands of punds for a couple of hundred pounds worth of damage, because they were fighting over who's fault it was, due to the ridiculous hire car fee.
  15. I'd go for the skinniest ones you can find, which will be 15mm I would think.
  16. Mine went down a little bit. That's one reason I like Brentacre. They give their cheapest quote at renewal and don't try it on. They do say that they may be able to price match if you can get an equivalent quote for cheaper elsewhere, but with their 'any mod you like' and like for like cover on replacing any modifications it's pretty hard to find equivalent cover!
  17. The 75bhp and 100bhp Lupo's are both 16v.
  18. AAS exhaust has gone. I think he'll only be interested in wheels if they are 19" LM's.
  19. The PX4's are ok but not amazing, not as good as T1-R's. Eagle F1's are better.

You'll need to grind down the bases a bit to stop them catching on the carpet.
  21. Yeah, but I can't remember how. I fitted a mk7 Polo GTI handbrake gaitor, and used my standard handbrake button with it, so it definitely comes out. Have you tried removing the whole gaitor?
  22. Yep, the Inox ones are worth the extra, IMO. The basics will probably have some kind of coating on, but it won't last forever. But, if the Inox's werent an option and it was a choice between KW Basics or another brand altogether, I would go for the basics.
