Tip. Before painting. Keep in a dehuminified envirment. This will remove any trapped water inside of it. Mine has not bubbled up since. But i did keep it in this enviroment for about a year.

I have seen a couple of lupos with aftermarket sunroofs. One red gti and one dark green lupo. So it is possible. But the cost would not be worth while for the car you are looking for.

Agreed. The other option I suggested while ago a creating a dedicated wiki to Vw Press cars (UK). However this did not go anywhere. If I was too do this option I would need a lot of help due to vast amount of models vw has had

Hi. Further to this. The press car thread needs updating but I have go no way of uploading more to the thread due to hitting my limits. I was suggested by other members to use the wiki for this. However it was dead. Any ideas.

Ok. I have managed to break this thread. Got so many bits I need to update but I have hit the attachment limits on this thread. I think a website or something else is in mind. Any ideas on where to go will be great. In total there are the following I need to update X904NJO, X907NJO, Y937DWL, L6UPO (Red Gti), L6UPO Blue Tdi I need to add two more. (7 cars in total)

My GTI is a 05 for sure. I can even date mine. When i first got the car I found a sticker on the slam panel. It said alignment issue Feb 05. So mine went off the production line that month to be corrected.

Ok. Bit of mega update. Months you get nothing and then several come along at Once. V43RBW added Y924DWL updated L3UPO (Blue auto) updated L5UPO (Yellow Sport) updated with photos L4UPO (yellow 1.0e) to be updated. So within 1 month 7 new cars......

I really like this car a lot. For me personally it combines the best bits of my two lupo's (the 1.0 and the Gti) into a good package. The LED lights. I prefer them compared to the daytime running lights on the Volvo which is basically dipped beam. So in the night you thought you where running dipped beam when you where not. I wish they where not supplied but its a legal requirement now..... The Lupo Gti is a car where the power is on all the time. Ok when you can use it. But the Up its good all the time as its turbo charged. Economy is very good. I regularly get over 55mpg on a run (I don't drive it daily though due to a change in circumstances). A longer motorway run in excess of 60mpg. The Lupo Gti I can get just of 40mpg on the motorway, the 1.0ltr lupo I had was over 50mpg but acceleration in that was so long (17 seconds!)
