I work for the NHS and I'm not incompetant but one of my colleges is and my managers do not know how to manage! I know what you mean though, I had the same problem when I went in for a knee operation. I was told to be there for 7am do not eat from 8pm the night before and didn't get into theatre until 3pm.

I have a Daewoo Twin Digital Freeview Box with HDD. Can record only two channels at one time but never had any probs with it and had it nearly 2 years now. Think it cost me £70 at time. I got rid of sky as too many channels with crap on them for price sky wanted whereas with freeview one off payment and watch loads of channels for free that you have on sky

I always get my shower gels from Victoria Secret in New York. I have been doing this for the last 6-7 years but only the last 2 shipments I have had to pay import tax on the package. I get a call from either UPS or FedEx saying that I have got to pay tax on the package before it can be delivered. My packages are $30 so about £15 and I have to pay about £6 tax. So either the rules have changed or Victoria Secret have changed their rules and overseas customers have to pay now but I have not found anything on their website to say anything about import tax. So I must have been lucky up until now.

My brothers going this March in his VR6. He did it last year as well driving from Leicester to the ring it cost him about £350 for 4 days, £60 ferry, 11euros a day camping, petrol and ring. There were 3 of them sharing costs and works out cheaper the more in the car.

The long way round was brill, got it on DVD as missed a couple while on holiday, but this one looks just as good. I thought Charlie was abit of an idiot running behind the tree on the training course for kidnapping. Eve needs to be told NO WAY are you going to go. She can't even ride a bike and admitted to not even liking bikes. No we just got a copy of the FT each week and all picked a company we fancied and phoned Barclays up and said we wanted to by so many hundred shares in the companies we had picked. We were actually working in the finance department of a big Retailer at the time so we did keep bugging certain members of the senior staff just to make sure we weren't picking a dead loss, but it was fun seeing if we could make money on these small unknown companies, we also had side bets with some of the senior staff if they said we couldn't make money and we did. We weren't in it to become millionaires, if we were we would have invested in the FTSE100. Good luck and have fun in whatever you choose to do.

We used to have a syndicate at my old place of work were we all invested £100 and brought shares in the 1p companies, sometimes they went bust but sometimes we had a good run and were able to invest in some of the bigger companies. We never went higher than the £5 companies though but we always somehow knew when to back out, well we had some good advice from finance people were we worked. It's like betting on the horses, study the form and you could do good but there is always an element of risk.
