Joti
OK so I had to wait a week after having the bumper resprayed before washing the car. Stuck the vinyl on the lower bumper and gave both cars a good wash today......
d4n91
Looking good mate, and tbh mate I hate it having scratches but I can't afford to have it all done so no point at the minute
Joti
Cheers Dan, well I'm juiced out of cash now. My airbag light has come on and the Supra needs a pair of front tyres, so all has come to a halt for the minute! If you can source a set of pop outs I would 100% go for it (although you have the benefit of a sunroof!), they are really good to have - I think they were standard on the 1.4E's...? Joti
Was driving in to work today when, after doing about 3 miles there was a kickback through the clutch pedal (similar in the way ABS pushes back through the brake pedal). I drove on another 4 miles, trying to change gear as little as possible. Got to work parked up, when the car was stationary, I depressed the clutch and it was literally "throbbing" back and forth.Called my mechanic who said it sounded like the clutch release bearing is starting to break up, and therefore a new clutch is required. Cost apparently is not too bad, unless the Lupo has a dual mass flywheel (which I bet it does!) in which case it would add another £200 or so to the bill On an upside, I made some good commission at work today - but guess where this will go.....The car has covered 85K so I guess it's to be expected eventually?Easy come, easy go I guess.......... nic78
I know how you feel pal!I heard a noise coming from my gearbox the other week, so in the garage it went. Gearbox out and sent off to a specialist, and it turned out ALL the bearings were on their way out, The bearing for the shaft, or something? was completely knackered so the shaft was just spinning lose which was causing the noise. Ended up costing £450 for the gearbox to be fixed, and I had the clutch done at the same time, which was about £225Don't know how much I'm going to be charged for labour as I haven't had the bill yet I have to say, the clutch feels SO nice now though, it's so light....just a shame it's going to cost about £900 all in Edit: And all this at 56K miles Edited April 13, 2012 by nic78
