Scott Johns
Dunno weather to get new arms and aeros from VW or to just get them of internet? do i need to get new arms or can i just get the wipers on my standard arms, my arms do need replacing but want new wiper before. Bickerton
Why do your arms need replacing? Can get generic aero wipera cheap but sometims worth paying a little more for sparco ones or the like. Costco sell michelin ones, they arent quite as pretty but very cheap to buy
Scott Johns
arms are flacking and look so bad haha, i found some bosh ones on the net for cheap but wasnt sure if i need arms, i think ones bent as get a nice smudge mark in front of my face haha

puggled
I've got Aerotwins and RobG has GTI ones. His look 100x better.
lupoluke
Avoid the cheepo aero ones i tried about 3 sets on mine and they was all crap, In the end i opted for a set of bosch aero`s which go on a standard wiper blade (these were from vw and orinally for a mk4 golf IIRC) and they were fantastic. jamiea7x
i have the vw retro fit aero blades for old style arms, 1 millions times better than the cheap ones, went through two sets of cheap ones before buying the vw ones and theyve last more than twice as long and theyre still good! had them on now for around 18 months

Scott Johns
havnt looked at this for days thanks for all the replies. Anyone remember how much it all was for arms and blades from VW close to a dealer so will be easier to get them from them, my bro said they would give me bosh blades
RobG
I can't remember exactly, but i think it cost me in the region of 90 quid for the front GTi arms and blades from my local dealer. LupoBoz should be able to get you them cheaper than that.
Scott Johns
Ah cool thanks mate, think payday will result in a trip to vw to see cause my current ones are so bad haha

Thooooom
despite what everyone always says, i actually bought some cheapo £7 ones from ebay, and theyre literally identical to my friends bosch ones, just as thick, with the same locking mechanism. they wipe brilliantly too, ive had them for about 3 months, and even though i know this isnt exactly a fair amount of time for testing, so far they havent let me down... Blitzerman
Seriously buy the tesco ones! whats £7 pound really? they do the job well! Plus yeah, my mates got the bosch ones and they look pretty much no different, end of the day they're all pretty much rubber lol Edited October 27, 2011 by Blitzerman
Scott Johns
Will they go on my current arms? May just buy them and if there bad get proper ones in the new year or someting
James827
I bought a set of valeo blades from halfrauds the other day, same brand as my key, wiper arms and other things on the car. they stopped the streaking that my other blades were leaving. the only thing is theres one spot on my windsheild that gets missed. im sure after some ajustment it will be fine. if not il be taking it back! Scott Johns
Got the cheap aero's today not perfect passenger side is a tad long and makes a sligh noise when going back down, will have a fiddle when its light, but cant complain for £6.28 and they look so much better
