_JLClark_ Posted March 3, 2011 Report Share Posted March 3, 2011 (edited) Hi guys, been trawling this website for some time now and decide i should start up a thread to show my car's progress.Bit of info; Brought the car for £2900 from a lovely lady out in the sticks. 'Great drive home' i must say!Had 64k on the clock '52' plate. Well impressed with the spec of the car which consisted of electric mirrors/windows, sunroof, full black interior, GTi red stitch seats F+R and CD changer!As this is my first car, progress has been slow but i have many plans for it, main goal is to be an award winner. '£££' So here it is when i first brought it home after roughly a 120 mile round trip, still looking pretty clean :At this point i decided to start doing the 'Free' mods, so i debadged it F+R :After clocking a few miles and saving a few pennies! I got myself a pair of these :'Cambridge edition' tailights!Really impressed with these completely changed the back of the car.--------------Then got myself a stubby ariel - £7 from ebay can't complain and the signal is great. (No specific pics of this sorry)And also while trawling ebay i bought a 'PVW' sticker, really good quality has survived car washes and the jetwash! Then a trip to halfrauds de-wipered the rear.(Again no pic, but you will see it in later pics)--------------Now comes the best thing to ever happen to my car so far :Yup, you guessed it! - Coilovers Which produced this :The front has been raised now to balance out the ride height, until i sort some wheels and take the adjusters out (Yes, the car has been tracked after those pics)Gave it a good clean and polish/wax around 4 hours!Heres the result:Even waxed the plate! Then just enjoyed driving round in it at this point, then one day + boredom + halfords = This Looks pretty tough here!Hit abit of a snag at this point, ran out of resources and after a few too many nights out and burning petrol, money had disappeared! So this is how i'm rolling! : I get some funny looks to say the least --------------Latest update to the car ; Just recevied my stickers from 'Syco graphix' great prices and service. Need a few more cans of paint asap methinks, but he quality on the wheels u have done is very good.Also, just like my family your car collection includes an R32 and a lupo sport along with a traitor 4x4! As you can see BIG update occured and i have now entered the world of wheel whoring, Specs of the wheels are : BBS RM012's 7.5" x 15 & 8" x 15 and i love them!
