Brother_Will replied to oliespurr's topic in Member's Cars
Very nice work, i love MK1's and its nice you have retained the OEM look. -
Ooooo thats not pretty, guess we know why there were not any advance pics of the front!

They may be saving it for the big reveal?

Laser blue open air on air ( time to move on )
Brother_Will replied to Lermy's topic in Member's Cars
Better and better all the time, i like the high level brake light delete, did you consider getting the aerial deleted too? -
There not viable right now but without the early adopters (silently) blazing a trail things wont improve. But i am glad we at least have a start on electric cars, some things on the horizon are fast charging (4 minutes estimated) contactless charging and of course ever increasing range.

Saw one up close for the first time today, looked pretty cool in red. Like others i thought the design looked a little cheap but in the flesh it seems pretty well built. I can see myself getting one of these in a few years

Retrofitting Fog Lights completed!
Brother_Will replied to Hazy's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
There is a retrofit harness available from carmedia for £34 in addition to that you would need the specific switch and relay, not to mention the lights and grille. Carmedia seem to think it takes 45 mins to install although there is no instruction on there website and they have not emailed me back about my requests for further details. -
Ive gone for simple plain standard font plates no borders no GB, very clean. Mine are illegal however because they dont have the postcode or supplier name. I was stopped late last year because my tailight bulb was out and the officer did a once over on the whole car and didnt spot it, not that id expect him to because in all other respects they are legal.

Lol who will be the first to get some Up! Alloys on there Lupo/Arosa?
-
Of course this isnt a GTI replacer, better to think of it closer to the Sport. I think we will see the GTI come a couple of years down the line if the GT was meant to be the range topper they would have used the full GTI moniker instead its still kept in reserve for later....
-
Well it looks like the tasty little Up GT has been approved for production http://www.pistonheads.com/news/25042.htm next stop GTI?
-
Yep when you come to sell it you can return it to standard and get the best money for the car then sell the modifications separately.
-
You can do that with a Lupo/Arosa too, it just restricts you to tiny women which saves you money on gaffer tape i can tell you....
