Bickerton
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows weather taking your rear wiper off will pass the mot?? And is fully legal? Thanks in advance Never been heard of anyone pulled in an mot over a de-wipered rear including myself
treblet
It'll pass an MOT no problem. There is no wiper to test so it can't be failed on anything. There is no legal need to be able to see out of your rear window either.

si_leeds
My old mans scoob hasn't got one neither, and mine is dewipered and is going for mot in an hour so will let you know, as far as I know you don't need one because some vans don't even have a rear window, and you can also have rear windows tinted as dark as you want as there's no law sayin you have to see through them

max West-York
I think it can only be picked up on at an MOT if the wiper motor is still on the car but doesnt have a wiper arm, but it wouldn't be if you were de-wipering it anyway not a clue about legalities but never heard of anyone getting in trouble for it... Bikerz
I just had a good scout of the Gov site and cant find anything regarding the law on wipers on the back. MOT and law are differnt remember. I cant see how they gave you a ticket for it. It must give u a section of the highway code it breaks, what was it?
