Dann Posted August 28, 2009 Report Share Posted August 28, 2009 Few mates of mine are coming with me and another member on here but 2 of them drive golf mk2's...if the club lupo lot are camping together and weve asked to be on the clubstand does that means they're gonna have to camp away from us or will the odd non lupo in the background not make a difference?Havent been before so really dont know. Thats about how many usually turn up.Last year i think there must have been about 25-30 lupos on the stand. Mitchell Posted August 29, 2009 Report Share Posted August 29, 2009 in all fairness i dont think we will ever see the likes of 2006/ 2007 again the club stand was so well organized and also the members who did go were long standing and dare i say it happy with how c lupo was back then, i'm not saying it's crap now but things changed on the site when all the bickering started and the gen chat closed because of it, people were put off and wandered over to other forums and the consequence was come show time the cars were on other club stand's.still a decent turn out but the love seemed lost, i'd like to see it return but i think people moved on. the newer members could help this year but looking at the list i'm wandering who will show up. Lol!Mitch, I understand what you're saying in your post, my local car club's having a bit of a rough time at the moment, loads of people turn up to trackdays and rolling roads but no one seems too fussed on the shows, I mean we used to get 15-20 cars at Volksfest Wales for example, we had 4 last week. And one of those was a skyline Newbie who came along to meet some members. Admittedly show and shine cars had their own area, but still...times are changing.Anyhoo, back on topic, Edition is gonna be amazing! I'm determined!
