Dom's dub GTI
neone done it?
Bikerz
Yeah it has been done. Looked real tidy too. It will be cheap and more performance to drop a 1.8T in for sure, but if you want the uniqueness of having a turbo gti lump then go for it. All be custom stuff tho matey, or ship it in from Germany which be just as pricey at end of it

noddy
1.8T A4's are 225 bhp too so i presume so ahhhhh VAG pure hottnessin the a4 same as nearly every vag car the 1.8t comes in diffrent specs but the turbo in the a4 is the same as the rest so if its the ko4 your after then dont just look for one off an a4 as they are in s3 leon cupra Ribiza cupra R and TTnot sure if they are on any a4'sif i was you i would use a ko3 on your car as a ko4 is tooo big for your 1.4 you will blow it up in no time Edited October 11, 2007 by noddy1
CasperGTI
What ECU set up would you have to use other than custom managementI suspect you could use the 1.8T golf ecu?Been saving up to do this conversion myself but getting Rothe to do it. But now looking at it, the rothe conversion and the conversion on www.turbogti.de is the same. So it would make it a damn site cheaper doing it myself, just not too sure on the engine management side.what do you think?
