Mr Mitchell, The gasket you require is the 16V and we are both sure the head bolts are from a 1.4 8v polo derivative, I think the AEX code motor That sounds positively sexual, you wait till the problems are ironed out, and then imagine the noise at over 7K!!! How about your one Andi? hows that coming along? couldn't track down your build thread sad to say I long gave up on my polo and the turbo project, all the bits were sold, and the car broken for bits (damaged the shell whilst it was in the garage ), so I'm now rocking a Fiat coupe 20VT! (which is a complete departure, but a really great car, and sounds heavenly) Do miss having it to muck about with mind, think I just took on too much at the same time!,

With the correct fluid and pad choice they are fine Expensive grooved/drilled brakes are an utter waste of money i think on a road car, look good and warp fast Stock GSF brembo discs for me every time the 256s are perfectly capable on a 1.6 polo/lupo decent pads are important, but the brake fluid is KEY, Totally stock setup 256's handled Donnington park reasonably well, only dying after about 6 laps of very hard use but with stock fluid that's never been changed for 6 years, what do you expect? and there is no way you could replicate that amount of prolonged abuse on the road, all the people saying your brakes are crap and spending massive money on gay discs and bigger calipers I would try it out with a decent fluid and fresh stock discs and then try and then make your opinions on whether they are crap or not

  10. powerboat? there for gay's you know ha, seriously though, those Wally things are pretty immense, think they even have a carbon fibre toilet seat it would be a big sailing Yacht for me, Oyster are bringing out a 125, that would do me nicely

    Rear beam bushes

    Does anyone know if there are poly bushes available for the rear beam of a lupo? as these might possibly fit onto a polo if there is, and i cant find any for the polo

  24. Keys should be able to get programmed to the immobiliser by VW, same as if you need a new key
  25. the three things that are linked together are: ECU - Immobilizer - immobiliser chips (inside the key)
