Id doubt it ever will be.

Theres not so many kits out there for it, no visable washer jets to light up, and to deck it you have to do real work biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

TBH mate....you could probably make your own carbon bonnet. It might take you a bit of work, but it's not as expensive as a lot of people. Wet lay up stuff is very similar to fibreglass and if you practiced a bit first you could probably do a decent job. You'd need to make a dolly for the bonnet by taking a mould out of something like fibreglass. You'd need strengthening on the back too, but I reckon you could do it for uner £100 if not less.

If you have a look at the prices here: http://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk you'll see that sheet is dead cheap. It's the resin that costs.

Behave. Making carbon fibre is a specialised job. You need a lot of practice. Even if you get one sheet a little wonky it will wreck the whole bonnet and look crap.

did it at uni, smaller parts are okay but big sheets liek bonneys etc. are hard to get perfect and free of air bubbles unless you have a really good mould and specialist tools.

Erm...I know its an old thread but I may be able to help....

I am in the early stages of my company making carbon fibre parts....

You would not get a good finnish with a fibre glass mould, and you would waste a lot of carbon fibre. I am going to be doing a Lupo bonnet in the near future along with many more Lupo parts, I will be taking bits off my own Lupo to make moulds from interiour and exteriour.

At the moment I am doing Mk1 bits as this is the main thing I have been asked for but if there is enough interest then the Lupo bits will come quicker!

My company is called Carbon Motive limited send me a pm or e mail me at : sales@carbonmotive.com if you have any questions.

Cheers, Neil smile.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I can make them with or without the badge, and I don't want to do them with scoops so no worries there!

The parts I make are all carbon fibre with no fibre glass in. The one for my Lupo will not have a badge cut out as I have a badgeless grille so if thats what people want then they will be available in the near future.
