  1. I have a K&N air filter for sale. It is marked F025K6, has a 65mm diameter flange. It comes from a MY2000 1.4S Lupo, with adapter. Breather pipe comes with it. I also have a pair of clear, smoked, tail lights for a VW Lupo; Seat Arosa - easy to fir, just one screw - no wiring changes necessary Bristol based, putting it on Gumtree, if anyone is interested
  2. Roughly 5K miles ago... The rear brakes and discs was needed for replacement. So I had got the new pads and discs, but noticed the passenger side calliper was knackered (Dust cover came off and piston rusted) Replaced both callipers (Second hand) and replaced passenger brake line as it had snapped, then bled the brakes. Had a look today and the pads are almost ready for replacing again! What can cause the rear pads to wear a lot faster than the front? Is there a brake bias somewhere? (I also need to adjust my handbrake as it is needed to be raised to the sky to stop the car rolling , but cant see this wearing the pads out as some people ask to see if the handbrake is on slightly causing it to drag the rear pads, wearing them out faster?) Cheers James
  3. Hello guys! I am new here but found the forum on google and seems really helpful since it's in english and all the others are in languages I can't speak. So here is the thing, I've brought a Lupo 3L from 2002 with 145k KM! It's in good shape, still has the automatic gear working OK but I've found some small problems or maybe it's just the way it is. First off, many times when i try to turn the car on, it powers up and 3 seconds later it goes off. Sometimes I have to repeat this 4 and 5 times to turn it on. Battery is good, I've tested (612 mah of the 650mah). Worse is that sometimes Start-Stop engages (normally it doesn't) and when I want to return back to drive the car goes off again. The automatic box was supposedly fine tuned but I don't know what it might be. Other thing intriguing me, I know the car doesn't have Power Steering by default. But honestly it's too hard, i've drove older ford fiesta, fiat uno, fiat panda and the steering was way more consistent. The first half turn is smooth but the rest jesus christ, you have to eat an ox to do it. But in reverse steering is way smoother like being assisted to be easier. Is it supposed to the steering have any electronic component to help assist on drive? And if not and it's just like that, how easy / costs you have to put power steering on Lupo 3L ? Apart from that I'm enjoy it, it's a nice little car with very low consumption! And it's a VW which delivers some quality and safety. Any tips to make it better, have even more fun and enjoy it are welcome! Thanks!

  9. Arosa Write Up Seat Arosa 1.4 TDI S 2001 I have for sale my beloved mk2 1.4 Tdi, I used this car to commute to work but have changed jobs and can walk to work. It will easily return 60mpg+. As a car enthusiast I love to enhance cars and have spent a lot of time and money to make this car fast, economical and yet look as standard as possible. All parts have been replaced with either original or OEM and I have all the documentation. Mature driver and always driven with mechanical sympathy. Dblock is my brother so you know the car has been treated well. It has all the usual mods. 100bhp remap which makes it faster and more economical. The 0.622 5th gear mod which does 70mph at 2krpm. This means super quiet and efficient cruising. The mod cost £300. All the normal wear and tear items have been done like the stat, temp sensor and suspension work and a clutch. So the car is good to go. Engine is sweet and is serviced every 6000 miles (half the interval) using the proper PD 505.01 spec oil. Gear box oil is also proper VAG stuff. Coolant is G12++. The car has been treated very very well. I bet you can’t find a car on sale that has been treated as well as this one. We have 2 Arosa Tdi’s in the house so we know these cars well. 10. Hey Guys, I recently bought a Lupo 02 but having difficulties with my heater dials as there's no illumination, I've been told it could be bulbs, however, taking away part of the dash it looks as though it's built in. I'm happy to replace the whole unit, however, getting it out is proving somewhat difficult, the only solution I can see is to remove the entire lower dash, centre console and gator. Would be great if anyone has any quick solutions as I'd rather not undergo the above surgery for a lousy tenners work. My dash is of the MK2 model and isn't as simple as the MK1 model. Thanks
  11. Hello guys!! I'm searching the best roof box that fits my beloved Lupo 1.2 TDI and after a lot of researches i decided to go to "Thule Atlantis 200" that is 175x82x45 440 Ltr, i don't know how it will look on the Lupo because it is 175 long and the roof of the car is 163 cm. I think no one has used that big box on a Lupo before because I couldn't find any picture on internet for a Lupo with 160cm or 175 cm roof box. I still didn't buy the box because I am having a problem with the racks right now, I purchased the "Thule WingBar 961 (118 cm), Thule Rapid System 754, and the Kit 1052" that the website says it fits my car but it didn't !!! i have tried a lot and followed all the instructions that the book says but it is impossible to fit!! anybody have tried something like that!? any advice or help please !!

  15. Hi there I've owned my Lupo GTi for about 10months now, I replaced the discs and pads all the way round a while a go now and today the car has started to make a horrible noise when I pull away, sort of sounds like the brakes when you press them at low speeds... It's not a squeak it's more of a judder? So I jacked it up and tried spinning the front wheels (not in gear with the engine running) and the wheels span about 1/4 turn then stopped them self is this normal ?! I'm a boat mechanic not a car mechanic so excuse me if I'm not 100% clear. Any help much appreciated cheers
  16. Hey guys, My dog got around my key and chewed it. I want to change it with an OEM flip key from local dealer, only I don't know what to ask them? Is there a part number i could get? I have central locking, with 2 buttons on my original keys. Thank you!

  18. Alright folks. I'm new to the forum and have just bought a 03 reg lupo s 1.4 16v. It runs and drives fine and I know the guy I bought it off who has done a full service on it recently. When the car starts the dash is clear but on pulling away the oil light comes and and beeps. I have read it may be the fuel pressure swith or a blocked strainer in the sump. Is the strainer just a mesh in the sump which I will see if I take it off? Also I think its the eml on too, when on the code reader it says o2 sensor, cant remember the exact thing its showing. Is there a way to tell if its a dodgy pre or post cat sensor? As I'm new to vw I'm not sure... If I go down to the scrappies can I take a lambda of any petrol vw? Or does it have to be the same lupo? Same with the oil pressure switch?(although they're cheap enough anyway) Thanks in advance

Will include coil pack, plugs, leads, inlet and exhaust manifold. Can include ECU + immobiliser box + immobiliser chip (x2) for an extra £50. Regularly serviced and maintained, folder full of history for the girl! I have a video of it running and a video showing a compression test across all cylinders. 20. Make:Vw Model:Lupo 1.4s MOT:Until next week (October 21st) Engine size:1400 Fuel type:Petrol Description including modifications: Bought this just over a month ago, good fun little car, lowered on what look like Pirelli P slot wheels but I'm not 100% sure.I haven't owned this car long and am not 100% sure on all modifications, it is lowered and has a different air filter fitted. It has got MOT until the 21st of this month, only problem is that not long after recently having the gear selector replaced (receipts to prove this) the car has stopped selecting reverse. This could be an easy adjustment/fix but I don't have the time or money to put into the car to get it fixed. I'll be sad to see it go because as I've said it's a fun nippy little car to drive. Contact me via text between 0700 and 1700 hrs, call after 1700 hrs. Sold as seen, cheers. Location: Tavistock, Devon Images: Price: £350
  21. Picked up my 02 1.4 auto Lupo about a month ago and this site has been pretty inspiring with some of the others members lupos ☺️, so I thought I'd leave my mark Here it is as I bought it Then debadged straight away Then full serviced, and realised the doesn't have a pollen filter! As it's not an ac model Then picked up some new shoes hopefully all the pictures will work, and I'm posting it all in the correct places aha

  24. Wanted some cheap second hand vw lupo coilovers if anyone has any for sale, based up north. Will pay for postage if they are far. Thanks.
  25. Wondered if anyone can help me, i very recently got a blue lupo for my 17th birthday, i love the car and im just hoping i dont have too many problems. Anyway, to the point... the cloth interior is fabulous and very clean but i noticed my gear stick cover is leather with blue stitching and it doesnt feel right having most other parts in the grey cloth. I had a look around on Ebay and came across: front door cards, rear door cards, speedometer cover, handbrake cover and door handles all leather with blue stitching. I will try and get some pictures up so you can get a better idea of them. I was wondering if anyone has had previous experience with them and could tell me if its worth buying them? thanks, Lewis.
