Let us know how you get on with that. Lol!

At 250 you'll find most of the budget coilies are the same. If you want comfort though, don't get coilies. As for reliability, The budget ones often come with 2 year guarantees but what good that is is any ones guess. That said, we've run budgets on ours for 3 years or so now and not had any problems. I ran the same on my silver one for a year and the last time I saw it it'd done another 20k with no issues as far as I know.

Welcome. Te South Wales contingent is expanding rapidly.

Cheers guys. Got a few more bolts to change but my OCD still says the engine bay isn't up to scratch. It's going to have to wait though as I desperately need to get the Mk6 wheel in and wire the boot release up.

That looks good, love the colours. I'm actually using Shimano M520 SPD's on my roadie. I have a set on my XC bike so just bought another pair when I bought the roadie so I could use the same shoes etc. The R540's have some great reviews though so you can't go wrong.

Thanks guys Few other little updates...

Air or not to air, that is the question...

I'm a big Specialized fan. Have 2 XC bikes and a roadie. Can't really help you on the Cannondale but if you are looking at that price bracket Cube were putting out some well spec'd bikes last year when I bought mine.

Ooh, hello! -
Just a little boring update. With all the brackets out, it was a good time to replace some of the bolts. Old vs New All fitted And a couple with the heat shield fitted. The top two screws went straight it, but i dropped the bottom screw and it promptly rolled along the undertray out of reach

Welcome to the club mate. There's a few of us from South Wales on here. Keep an eye out in the meets section for the next one.

I don't think we're going now so have 2 spare weekend passes if any South Walians want them.

Lupo GTI Max Protect Nano-Ceramic Protection Detail
Huw Pugh replied to aaronhtid's topic in Detailing and Cleaning
How much is max protect and for what quantity? I'm guessing its similar to C1? I'm always dubious about people raving about new products. It happens on Detailing World all the time. Can't tell you the amount of stuff I've bought and tried but I always go back to the same products. C1 is a doddle to apply physically, the hardest part is trying to see where you've been. It's very thin and clear so really difficult to see, you've just got to make sure you're thorough. -

Nice write up. I've just Gtechniq'd my Fabia VRS. Will probably get around to doing the Lupo at some point. -
Nasty Vindictive Scratch
Huw Pugh replied to Suts636's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
I've not done any long scratches but did some chips on my silver gti and have done some flatting on a Z3M where someone had just blobbed paint on. Depends how proud it sits but 1500/2000/2500 followed by a coarse machine polish then a lighter pass. -

How handy are you with wetsanding and polishing? If the alternative is new paint I'd have a go at touching it up with a paint stick then sanding and polishing. -
Damn that predictive text! Yeah I meant received. Hopefully they'll arrive tomorrow/Monday then :-D
-
We're going but applied for the show and shine. Will be camping with the dog too. Should we be worried we haven't refurbed a pass yet?
-
I'm on the lookout for one too. I'm looking more at the Nikon D3100 or the D5100 as I like the flip out viewfinder.
-
They're a different shape.

I priced up a Zoe recently. I think they're a great looking car and it would suit my commute. The costs just aren't viable though. The limited ranges are a big problem too - fine for a commute and charge each night but as a useable daily car you still need a hybrid at least.
-
Haha. I'm desperate to get mine back. I've missed it twice now. Third time lucky hopefully!

Thanks guys. Really wasn't sure on the wheels when we first fitted them but loooove them now. Just cant decided whether to keep them at the end of the season or build something a little more special we have tucked in the garage. :s
